My problem with Mouse Movements

As I sit here and watch as I bot away on Firemaking, there is something that bothers me. The mouse movements, the accuracy of it, and movement speed at times are completely inhuman. From what I have observed, here are the problems that I see:

  • The speed of the mouse from it's start point to it's finish point stays relatively the same speed. When a human moves a mouse, they start fast when they initially move the mouse, but as they near the point to be clicked, they slow down the mouse so they do not misclick.
  • The mouse never misses. It may not click on the exact center of what's being click, but it will always end up clicking what's to be clicked. A human over-shoots from time to time, sometime misclicking, other times moving the mouse back to successfully click.
  • I feel like the movement path of the mouse is quite inhuman. My current understanding is the mouse move in an arch, sometimes in the shape of an "S." Humans are much messier when moving the mouse, their mouse path is nowhere near as perfect as the current mouse movement algorithms.

I believe that factors such as these, and many other that we can fix, are what leads Jagex to conclude whether or not an account is botting after being reported. I feel a new, more humanlike mouse movement algorithm needs to be developed. I'd do something about it, but hell, I'd have no idea where to start.

  • You can change the mousespeed by simply adding MouseSpeed:= [int]; to your code. I doubt JaGex tracks the mousespeeds from start to finish and breaks it down.
  • This has been discussed before and I believe someone was even making something that missed and overshot, etc…
  • The mouse path is human like, you just don't specifically see it when simply just looking at SMART's red dot or your mouse. There have been many people test their human movement to current mouse and they come out to be pretty similar.

I know mouse speed can be changed. Although you may doubt that analyzing mouse speed from start to finish is something Jagex overlooks, I believe that we should consider that they do, so that if they do, we have that area covered.

I made a MissMouse procedure that overshooted targets, but it didn't get added to the include though

For what reasons, Zyt3x?

So did I. I made one which would under or overshoot the target from time to time. But, like Zyt3x, it wasn't added.
