Universal Combiner?

I was thinking would a script that has the option to combine MULTIPLE items be incredibly useful? for potions, tuna poteto, nettle tea (if you wanted), etc.

I am not requesting this script but rather take a crack at it and create it :bart: just would like some feed back, i could also add like a modification for searching the bank for a certain DTM to make item finding a snap because DTM's are so simple to make! anyone else find this to be a good idea? I could also add an exp calc where all you would need to do is change the amount of exp for the item?

Feedback?

Truly I don't see it as being that useful. because most scripts that combine stuff already have a purpose and a whole lot of Specifics/Functions/Procedures/Failsafes for what they are doing. But you could use the idea as a training opportunity. There are a lot of ways it could be done using various scripting functions. TPA's, DTM's, BMP's, and color finding, plus probably some that I don't know yet. Do your best

Pretty sure someone with a name beginning with 'N' made something like this, but I don't know when/where.

I thought about making something like this with BlackLists (or DDTMs created during runtime, but they weren't around at the time), so that the user would click run, then do a load by hand, the script would figure out what they are doing, and then start working. This way it would be so generic, that the user wouldn't need to enter anything (besides usual declareplayers). However I suspected that the time needed to fine tune it would take longer than it would to make several scripts with the same template and pasted in items. What you could do is write it first just so that the user has to put in the DTM/whatever, and then if it's really worth it you could mod it to auto-detect items.

Hey, Boreas, would you mind if I attempt and make something with your idea of creating dynamic dtms during runtime?

I wouldn't mind at all. Few things to keep in mind:

1) Use the Black_Outline constant for the black with a tol of 0
2) Don't look at entire TBox produced by InvBox, add about 15 to y1 to get around the numbers
3) Make the parent point with max tol at x1 y1 (adjusted as above)
4) Only search for the DDTM at that point, and just repeat the search 28 times (or whatever for bank). So it's not really searching, but rather checking if it is in each slot.
5) For color points you need to see what is inside the black outline so that you don't get the brown background.
6) You can either get a sample of color points in a standard pattern (checkerboard, net, etc) or look at other items with same black outline and just see what is different, for example don't bother with the handles of the pickaxes.

For more info see the old version of BlackLists I posted in tutorial island, or the new version by Nielsie posted somewhere (MSI maybe?).
