A Timer *For "x" amount of time*

I was thinking maybe a timer could be added. You could set it for anywhere from 1 minute, to 10 hours *just an example*. At the end of the timer it will stop the script and log your player out.

It could be used as a precaution. In case you all of a sudden have to leave while the script is running, and don't have time to turn it off.

Or if you know you won't be there, but you trust your script to not mess up, and want to set a timer for, an example, five hours.

What do you think?

This is very easy to script using:
GetSystemTime

some simple math and storing variables.

I'm in favour of this idea. I want to see what other people think also, so I'll give it a day or two. :)

Okay =]. Thanks. I just don't want to leave my script on while I'm at school and have to go through the anxiety of people screaming "BOTTER!!!!!" at me >.>. Even with antiban, it's still just as nerve-racking and annoying. I only want it on for 3 hours when I'm at school, not the whole 6-7.

You can just set the players total loads to 50 (or however many you think it would do in 3 hours).

The script I use (it's only for ivy) doesn't let you choose how many loads you do. And if it does, it's not in the setup part and I have no clue how or where to change it.

What script are you using?
This sub-forum is for MSI :)

As Zyt3x said, this is for MSI.

I'm assuming your using Shuttleu's 'Vine Vanquisher', and should therefor post your suggestion on the thread you got the script from ;)

As for adding this to MSI, I don't see how it would hurt anything, but is it really necessary with TotalLoads?

They both potentially do the same thing, and personally I think TotalLoads is better than just a TotalRuntime. Though, I suppose that could be voted upon.

However, I do plan on adding a IvyCutter to MSI, in which case a TotalRuntime attribute in DeclarePlayers would be ideal, as TotalLoads obviously wouldn't work in that case.

I know but once I get 99 I was planning on using this to cut magics. I'm 220k away from 99.

It would be very simple to add magic trees. We just need the item record for magic logs, and an object record for magic trees.

You could probably make them yourself if you read parts of a couple guides.

E: Seers Mage trees have been added.

On topic, I think we should consider adding this. It can be an addition to MSI_Players record (TotalTime, or something). Are there users that would still like to see this added?

I would love to see this idea added. I for one agree with this :).

But all my msi account's so far are just suicide botters so i dont want them to stop. but i may use my main with MSI pretty soon here.

You could also throw maybe a world change in there every 40 minutes or so, then auto as much as you want.

Interesting idea, reasons for this?

Generally people don't report until it's been awhile and you bother them. If you hop worlds every 40-80 minutes (I think that's a reasonable amount of time, with a few random outliers, of course), you're much less likely to bother people, ergo, much less likely to get reported/banned.

Makes sense. I guess it wouldn't be hard to have it change worlds every 40-80 minutes of runtime.

The X amount of time as been added in the latest revision, along with this.

Enjoy,
