Ok first off i apologize for any inappropriate actions i may do

Ok so lets start off from the beginning

Me and my family had planned a year ago to go on holiday from 20th-28th August 2010
I nearly finished school and college was starting to accept applications for their courses, and they said first come first served
So i hand my application in a couple of days after they started to hand them out, they said i was the second person that applied
I got several letters asking me to come in for taster days, i went to every single one, i also got told at every single one that i should have no problem getting into the course
So everything seemed hopeful and i didnt have any doubt at all
While i was on holiday a letter came through the post saying i needed to attend a enrollment day to fill in a enrollment form, but because i was on holiday i had no idea of it at all
I got back off holiday and found the letter but the enrollment day was on the 26th
I called up the college and they said not to worry and to go in on the 8th September and bring proof of grades and say that i need to fill in a enrollment form
So earlier today i went in and went to fill the enrollment form and turned out that my sister had lost one of the forms with my IT and English grades on it so i had no proof of my English or IT grades
So i went home to try and find the piece of paper, finally found it after searching for half an hour
Went back and finished filling the form in, then i got told i would be put on a waiting list and they would let me know if i had a position or not

I mean WTF!

I attended every single taster session i was the second person to apply for the course, and just because i was on holiday i might not even get into the course. FML!

They'll probably be like "too bad", uni's tend to be like that.

I heard of someone over here who had a similar story. He finished school and went to Europe for a holiday. Meanwhile back here his results came and he'd actually failed English meaning he can't get into uni (any course at any uni). So by the time he got home and realised it was too late to do any supplementary exams or whatever to pass English and so he had to repeat Year 12.

Don't worry, most universities act like businesses. Ensure you've got money, and they'll probably take you– unless they really have very limited spots.

Yea, unfortunately places can be pretty stickler about things like that. But when it really comes down to it. Determination will really get you where you need to be. Try not to be a pest… but bother them every day. Explain, be kind, be patient, be persistent, be organized, and be professional. If that doesn't work, you can always resort to loathe vision.
