auto-UID deleter?

Hey,

According to the 7 Golden rules of SRL autoing, we need to make sure we have an unique UID each period we auto, and always use an unsigned client.
To retrieve a new UID, one needs to delete UID.dat. So technically it would be possible to remove that file in a script, before SMART starts to load.

Ofcourse, invading people's computers isn't ethically allowed, therefore a boolean constant could be created, with the default option being not to remove the file.
Ofcourse, this could be outdated already since those 7 Golden rules were melted in 2006.

What do you guys think about this?

Maybe an extension for Simba? Those that know well how to make them could create one. And auto-delete option when Simba starts.

Oh, why wouldn't there be? I think those are pretty basic functions.

could you just open the file and rewrite it to be empty? Would be the same as deleting it wouldn't it?

Yes, that's what I'd do. An extention sounds cool. :)

Thank you for that link. It made me concerned;
Also, deleting your Cache files should not be done too often either. The great WT-Fakawi did an experiment with theese. As far as I remember, he tried deleting his cache files between each logout when he autoed with his guild miners. This resulted in ALL of his guild miner accounts being banned - and, in my opinion, prooving that these .dat files do have their purpose for JaGex.

Maybe deleting those Cache files by script isn't the best idea. But using the unsigned client solves it too. Does anyone know if using the unsigned client compensates in a higher ban ratio or more randoms?

That IP changer could be useful, though it doesn't seem to work for me. >.<

Yeah I was gonna bring up WT's problem. I know that I'd think oddly of it if someone always deleted their UID..
