Well I guess I will keep this post short and as blunt as possible. I will be leaving, or atleast taking a long absence from scripting and SRL in general. College is just around the corner and I will have limited access to a computer aswell as limited time.
It pains me to say this because I have had much fun over the years here, met some extraordinary people, and frankly I have become a more intelligent person in many ways because of SRL, and I can only thank you (everyone) for this. It's quite sad to think a chapter of my life is ending, but I must move on eventually and this seems to be the perfect opportunity.
I would also like to make an apology to everyone that is part of MSI. I have let you all down, in one way or another. I never managed to contribute like I planned, and even when I managed to get the time, it seemed I could not produce a piece of code that would be deemed acceptable to the standard we have produced over the months of hard work. Everyone that is a part of this, a part of SRL is exceptional and you all are amazing people in my books.
This will not be a leet list (or whatever it's called) but merely a list of appreciation to everyone I can think of (in no order of importance):
Garrett: You've become a good friend here at SRL, to be honest probably one of the, if not the closest person to me at SRL. By God you're the first person I've ever trusted enough to give my cell phone number too, and you're the only person I've ever felt inclined to text. You're a good, honest person and I really like that about you. Don't ever change, good luck in life, and send me a text once in a while.
NCDS: You are also one of my closest friends here at SRL. You were the first person I had ever managed to collaborate with and produce a working script haha. It's been a pleasure to watch you grow here and while I hate to admit it, go from asking me questions, to surpassing me with ease. You sir are a true gentleman in my books.
Coh3n: You are the leader I could only inspire to be. Your ability to put the community first is something I envy, I've found my weakness to be my pride in my own work and not a collection. You have all the qualities it takes to go far in life and I can only imagine the things you will go on to do in your life. Good luck my friend, although I know you don't need it.
Naum: You are a genius, enough said. You are so much smarter than me, in so many different ways it's disgusting. I'm proud to have known someone like you. You always pick the most difficult tasks to embark on, knowing full well that the task is nearly impossible. Yet somehow you always seem to solve the problem. I know you'll have a successful future, you are your crazy mathematics ;) Hopefully I can still catch you on MSN from time to time.
Rasta Magician: I feel Sir. R Magician is too formal and I hope that we are close enough friends I can call you by your full name :p You have shaped and groomed MSI into the powerhouse of scripting and leadership that it has become. Your perfect organization and leadership skills have brushed off on all of us, and some more than others (Coh3n ). You truly are a good person and I always enjoyed talking to you.
Zeph, Nava and any other devs I may miss: I don't know if you two can read this but here goes. You both at one point or another have been a really good friend of mine here on the forums. Zeph you were always fun to chat to really late at night (those damn timezone differences) and Nava I don't know why but you always managed to make me smile. The devs and mods here are all exceptional people and I can only hope that our paths cross one day.
Wizzup, Fakawi: You both are the building blocks of something so great you cannot even begin to comprehend. SRL has forever changed my life (as corny/lame as that sounds) in many ways. The ability I have with computers, my ability to type (because we all know how much we have spelling mistakes Your vs. You're Wizzup…), and of course my knowledge about programming, writing code, and more. You both should be proud of your creation, of SRL and everything it has accomplished. Congratulations.
I've just realized that although I said I was going to keep this short, I've been rambling on for over half and hour. This is actually a very sad time, I feel as though I am parting with too many good friends. You will all be missed dearly, as will this place, my comfort zone.
I will be around until Monday or so and after that I will be taking off. If I could ask that my title be relinquished as an MSI Leader, the title is unsuited for me. Thanks again everyone for the memories, they will be cherished.
Sincerely yours,
Mark Willms aka Blumblebee
