Listen guys, whoever has committed anything in the last couple days has completely fucked up Fishing, it wont even compile because of the changes that have been made to Debug and Objects (that I've seen so far) and I'm honestly not happy at all.

In fact, I just commented out all the non-compiling pieces of Fishing and said fuck it.

There is a script, PowerNet added that I've been using to test/debug fishing, but now that I updated everything except for my fishing file it wont even compile anymore, needless to say that I forgot to save when I fixed a type mismatch, which I can't remember anymore, so I'd have to search for that again.

I'm going to let someone else finish Fishing, I'm through. I'm not going to be writing some more code until I cool down, and figure out what the fuck has been changed. Start making some threads or posts or anything to say what has been done. I cant be looking through the entire include trying to figure out why something doesn't compile anymore, debugging this is enough of a piss off as it is.

A bunch of them don't help at all.

PS- Object finding for fishing is going to have to be fixed, because I used LoadObject or some shit like Mining/WCing did, which returned a TMSObjectArray and the FindObjectsIn uses TIntegerArray.

I don't really give a shit right now tbh, so I'm just going to let someone else muddle through the mess that it is right now, or I'll get back to it in a week or so when nobody takes over.

Did you mean this? Obviously some mistake was made, as when marpis tested it, it compiled.

Have you added fishing.simba to CompileMSI.simba?

e: yes you have. Something obviously went wrong. Perhaps marpis updated Fishing.simba to suit the new way of loading objects?

I haven't updated anything since the FindObject update.

Yes but MSI still compiled when I added it, I just commented out the crap that wasn't compiling.

Did you try looking at the 'diff with previous rev' that usually helps me when I'm trying to review changes with svn.

Any changes that were within the core shouldn't have affected your version of Fishing.simba that much. Any compiling errors shouldn't have been that hard to fix…

I find it impossible to fix any errors with MSI, I have to port out the code into a new script without the headers.

Simba counts lines (visually) like this:

1. Program new;
2. begin
3. //dostuff;
4. *compile error here*
5.end;

But reports the problem (debug box + highlighting) as this:

1. Program new;
2. begin
3. *compile error here*
4.end;

So I would be looking on line 3 for the error, etc. When you get so many headers, as MSI functions have, it builds up and I could be looking 40 or 50 lines above what the actual error is. I find it really hard to figure out where the actual error is..

We've all been through that multiple times while developing MSI, just don't let it get to you so much. If you wrote the code then there really is no reason you shouldn't be able to spot the error, but I undersand thing's et aggravating.

This coming week I should have a lot more time than I have had the past couple weeks so I'll get in touch with you and see if we can't figure this stuff out.
