Do you have a reason to be upgrading your CPU?

Not really, but upgrading is always a good thing.

I'd like to get more RAM because 2GB is sort of bottlenecking everything as is.

Option 1: Upgrade RAM from 2GB to 4GB or 6GB

.. or 8GB? (2x4GB?) It seems silly to go 6GB, either buy a twin set of 2x2GB or 2x4GB. If you can afford it, why not? Upgrading from 2GB, you'll definitely feel the difference.

The set you've listed seems, ehm, .. expensive? I'm not sure, it might just be the fact that it's listed in dollars, but still – it seems like there should be a lot better options available for that price?

I'm not sure here.. You've listed two processors, the difference between them as far as I can see is that one of them have 1MHz higher clock speed and one more core, whilst price is the same? Surely the Phenom must be better in some other way? If not, of course go for the quad.

Option 3: Buy HDMI Switch/Selector

.. depends on what you need it for?

Option 4: Pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops

Yes, hurrdurr.

Option 7: WTF WHY AM I HERE

More like, WHY AM I DOING THIS I FEEL STUPID. :norris:

No, that is bad. Don't bother if you don't have a reason.

There are no 4GB sticks of DDR2 1066 on newegg. Find me some and I'll get it.

EDIT: I lied, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134596, only downside is that it's 4 sticks of 1GB, I need 1 stick of 4GB, so, continue finding plz.

I thought that maybe someone would want me to get either one of them, perhaps someone liked one better ^_^

Isn't it odd that the voice in your head can't decide what to do. The one in my head is pretty good in taking decisions….

Can we know the rest of your specs?
Also, I'd say 4GB is ok. So just another 2GB stick.

If you're willing to save up a bit more:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103851&cm_re=1055t-_-19-103-851-_-Product

another 100USD, but overclocks like hell.

Lolno, he shouldn't buy a hexacore. That is a waste of money unless he produces movies or films of some sort.

OP: Sounds like you have upgraditis. If you don't have a reason to upgrade - don't upgrade. If you were a millionaire wouldn't be a problem if you had upgraditis, but considering your having troubles stringing 100$ around.
