What bot crackdown?
You can find scripts here:
http://villavu.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=64You should know that macroing is against the rules… so of course you'll get banned if Jagex catches you.

recently jagex has been EXTRA harsh on people who get caught with bots. and they are trying harder to catch "cheaters" too.
I've heard of people getting their accounts frozen forever because of it.

this is not a bot based site, here more of a human interface is used,e.g to intercept what your eye sees, these java bots can do it all with straight code interception

Over the years, at least 40 of my account are perm banned, but some of them still happily walk around displaying their skillcapes. Just be sure to auto wisely and monitor your account while macroing. Also, try out scripts with less important players and switch once you are certain the script is safe.
And a tip: be sure you dont get reported! Recent surveys suspect this triggers a review mechanism.

Actually, I was looking at the RS forums and it looks like Jagex are being less strict after a lot of complaints from people who proved that they were playing legit but got banned. :)

Hah, no wonder :p
Jagex never changes! They perm now just as they permed years ago. Auto safe and keep a big army. Don't auto on your main. Don't get too attached to any particular bot. You'll be fine.

A fun fact that I read at RsBot is that they said that according to some people almost over 76% of Runescape players use bots.
This can be possible because RsBot is very well know now among Runescape players by their huge advertising and lack of carelessness to keep it underground.
Personal Opinion about RsBot: I dont like that community at all, almost all of them are disrespectfull, either kids or old people, its a big messy community, I must say SRL is a way better, the big majority of people here are well educated and respectfull to others. Love to be here :D
NOTE: Im just telling what I read, im not 100% sure of this.

I only auto on my main with scripts I make. I've been toying around with making an army… probably going to do it soon.
When I auto on my main, I do chat with people and mix it up. I'll do (extreme money making here), followed by a quest or something. So far, I've made cash out my ass and not been banned.
The reason I auto on my main is because I just don't care anymore. Ever since SRL came along, I've found so many more things to do in my real life that I can't just hop back into runescape unless it's a really cool quest storyline. All I really want is to get 99 att/def/str/hp/prayer on my main and then just join a clan or something.

I auto on my main too. It's my only account. I use the scripts for simba here now.
Oh, yeah, I've gotten attention from randoms, i've even had players report me for macroing, but I've never gotten banned or muted or anything.
I want to get full dragon plate, while training my cb a little inbetween and getting some basic skills up.

I swear I've had this too. One time my alcher got stuck somewhere retarded like from the GE to Oziach and some guy said "are you a bot?"… then the next line was "reported". At which point I freaked out but continued alching anyways. This happened over a year or two ago.
Sometimes I think Jagex's system works like this:
- One or two reports is now considered ignorable since probably every confused lvl 10 character reports high players for the sake of it
- Since it chews up data to store all the people that get reported, they may have made it so they only pick 'higher priority targets'
- Upon multiple reports, you are flagged and then doomed if not careful
[/more speculation]

I can say that I have been report numerous times over the last couple of years. About how you described it and still haven't been Banned. So they definitely may have started ignoring them up to a certain point. or put a date expiration on them.
I've botted 99 cooking, fletching and thieving and 60-75 in all non-combat skills except slayer, dung and herblore on my 3bc skiller without getting banned (or well, I did some legit training too in skills like agility because barbarian course is insanely slow xp and it's nearly impossible to bot the other good spots like wilderness course). My main tactic has been to bot in remote, unpopular or overcrowded areas to avoid anyone catching and reporting me, because almost every time that I've seen one of my accounts get reported it has also gotten banned shortly after.

If the script has super like human movements and you haven't been on over 8 hours (with breaks every hour or two for about 30 minutes)…
Well my theory is:
*Technically, they don't have enough proof that you are actually botting. Just because you are not talking and have been one for a while, doesn't necessarily mean you are botting. Plenty of legit players do 24 hour runs with no breaks and don't talk at all.
Because when I got reported I think about 6-8 players reported me. ALL OF THEM. AT THE SAME TIME.
The script had very humanlike movements and I was on for about 8 hours with breaks inbetween (botting) and I never got banned. I was freaking out so much.

Just make sure you dont get reported. Reporting seems to invoke the banning mechanism.
I sometimes bot in places where there are so many player that everyone is caught up in there own world. *cough* GE *cough*

I went from 80-99 magic by standing on the GE spot where the most people are, and then you will basically reach 0% chance of getting reported. People who right clicked the pile couldn't even find my name XD

That's exactly how I feel!!! I always think its the best to auto alch in a very heavy populated place(such as GE).

This too, plus there people are focused on something rather than just messing around w/ free time on their hands.
As a fun side note: On
non-pvp worlds edgeville seems to be a good spot to get banned :(
I got 80-99 fletching at Soul Wars lobby in Soul Wars servers (should be good for alching too), because you can't get random events there and there's always +10 people standing at the bank chest and tons of other people running around, so it's nearly impossible that someone will spot you.

Didn't know you do not get randoms there, I'm going to try that

Unless they've changed something you shouldn't get them there.. I think it's because randoms could make people be late from the games. If you stay there for a while and leave you'll most likely get a random event almost instantly though, but that doesn't really matter.

One thing I've started doing is setting my Public Chat settings to Friends Only. That way if attention is ever called to the fact that I don't speak to anyone when I'm using Simba, I have a semi-valid excuse. Also, I mix up what skills I train and do a quest every now and then. Usually, I try to do 2-3 floors in Demonheim for every 6~8 hours mining/WCing/whatever; you know, do something that would be hard to script or bot.
Don't wear fancy stuff while botting non combat skill. This will save your ass.

I have always worn fancy stuf while botting. Default crappy clothed bots immidiately atract my attention, while a Full Black (G) char could be a proud legit, but not a bot, no?

I also wear fancy stuff, when botting, and when playing legit. I would never think a player with Black Full (G) would be a bot.

So far standing on a super busy spot is saving me, though I'm worried cause I keep getting randoms every hour or so. I wonder if this is due to me constantly getting experience, or standing still, or being in a busy place?

I believe that the Daemonheim gathering hall is also event-free, and on a Dungeoneering server it would be packed (for extra protection, you might open a party with the Ring of Kinship–I doubt they random people in parties). I haven't tested this extensively, but I believe it is random-free because I have received a random as soon as I teleported out (Home or rune-based) on numerous occasions.
Should be fairly easy to write a script that starts in the gathering hall, performs 28 actions, goes to the banker, walks back into the hall, rinse and repeat.
