Haha stealing accs is so easy.

So yeah, I stole someone's acc who I know has moved onto WoW and all I did was write a mournful essay for the more information and guess some of his passwords/recovery stuff from my knowledge.
Got his acc.
Stealing old accs that never set recovery questions or email is easy as pie.

You're so cool. We all wish we could get lucky while trying to steal accounts like you. SRL does not support hacking people, if you want to brag about it go somewhere else. People here would steal accounts in a much more educated way anyway, such as keyloggers, or sending passwords to websites, but they always get caught, so it's not even worth trying.

Yeah, they always get caught.

by the way, when I said they always get caught, I meant when stealing accounts from people at SRL. As for runescape, I find it unlikely that they always get caught, but they probably do a lot, I don't know.

Ooh, stealing. That's original.

As for that, I also stole my own accounts back from stupid sythe scammers. WoW players don't need RS anyways, his last login was 900 days ago… as was mine.
Not like I would steal random botted accs anyways.
And what's not to trust? I got a good 100m of stuff now back from my accs(love how I get scammed, and whoever took my acc seems to have turned around and sold it, and that person has been playing), the other one was mainly a test to see, because runescape was just approving ALL(srsly, ALL) of my recovery attempts

Just notifying all of you about how crappy their recovery systems are, or in case you also have been scammed elsewhere and lost accounts… all i did was put in a password I knew, wrote a story, and put in what date i think the accs were made. Way too easy.

And this is starting to feel like forum fluff so interpret as you wish.

But..

We bot to make accounts if we need them. Why would we steal crappy accounts from random people?

I wouldn't boost about stealing the account. However this is very informative as you said its easy to take an account that has no recovery questions. I would think that's common sense, it just shows how lax Jagex is about account recovery with no recovery questions.

@ people always get caught stealing accounts
WRONG.
You only hear about the ones that get caught not those that are good at it - hence don't know of or about them.

Well not boasting as much as declaring the fact that what I originally thought to be a super secure recovery portal(it's honestly 100x better looking than 3 years ago, when I was denied my recovery request for some BS reason), is not secure at all. Not only can you get accounts that were yours(who have been played under other IPs for a very long time), but you can also get other people's accounts who you have never played on ever. I don't know their methods of assessing the validity of your recovery ticket but I do know this: I set the recovery questions and made sure ALL my accounts are bullet proof, after this finding(3 recovered accounts in under 2 days).
Seems like somebody at jagex is bored of his job assessing these and is just pressing the green button :O

And oh, it's not luck. You can try it on an old botted account that never got banned. Give someone your password and then try and recover it a little bit after… making sure you don't set recovery questions of course. Hell, you could even try to recover it when you were obviously playing on it. It seems to be easier than anyone thinks it is.

:sasmokin: didnt think it would actually work o.0.
Plus side is I now have all my accs back. I will also take this time to say this: never buy member pins from sythe, they are all scammers.

Idk… Bro, if you felt good about this then just keep it to yourself. Who knows, maybe it was for the good, maybe you deserved it, maybe it was right. Still, we can't feel comfortable about some things after we hear them. Regardless, morally what you presented to us was wrong, and it should never be tolerated under any circumstances. Were not thieves, inside were better then that. You are too.
