SRL Archive - Bot Information and Spottings

I never would have thought it, but last week I logged into one of my low level accounts, and he was sitting in the maze. Just as I started moving through it, one of those Chinese bot chars (default clothes, bald, lvl 3, crap name) popped into the maze nearby. I thought it would just sit there until it logged out, but it actually started through the maze.

I got there first, but I went the wrong way a couple of times. The guy passed me up, never went the wrong way once, just went straight through to the exit.

I added him to my friends list and pmed him a bunch of times, but he never responded.

The most logical explanation is simply that it was actually a person (who had the maze memorized, apparently), but I'm not so sure anymore. That Chinese bot seems to work wonders at evading Jagex's snooping, so maybe they put a maze solver into it.

We never tried..
but with colours it is a bugger..
or it's more just the hard work..
because you will need to direct it every step, which is fucked..

Lots of the guys you call "chinese bots" are in fact, chinese players, who run runescape with 8 clients at the same time.

damn *censored* computers @!!! damn i cant even multi log in cause my computer is just too *censored* slow. - i cant swear cause Starblaster will ban me !

I think the level 3s are java bots that are get banned in a few days, which is why they don't waste time fighting. Just because something appears to be better than SRL, don't assume they have to be human.

As for solving it, if we really wanted to, (its not as common nor necessary to solve as box etc) I think it could be done eventually. Other randoms appeared to be impossible before.

Boreas. I have used ARGA mining for days straight. Fact of the matter is, they dont get banned within 3 days because of there levels being so drastically high.(Look at some yew cutters(Asian autoers) and some of the guild miners(Asian autoers)).

Then why level 3? Surely they know it increases reporting a lot, so there must be a good reason.

subin: I would never send you ARGA, it is a tool for learning, and I have definetly learned from it.

Boreas: I honestly beleive its either sweatshop workers, or just a *Private* bot. I mean, take a look at wizzup and fawk, They keep there SCAR scripts private, they get banned much less often because no one except them has them. You apply this to a bot, which has been smartly programmed(Random tiles, perfect Antirandoms etc) then you will clearly not get banned such as wizzup and fawkawi dont get banned with there private scar scripts. Thats my best shot.
