Just wondering why there isn't an option to powermine coal because I want to powermine coal so I can get some fast levels.

because powermining Iron is better and faster xp at any level (AFAIK)

I always thought that after level 75+ coal becomes quite fast to mine and around 85+ becomes better exp/hr than iron. It's probably changed though.
Still, there should be an option to powermine whatever ore you like. You shouldn't restrict a user to a few ores and say "these are faster, use them or stfu"

Anyway you are way more likely to find a less busy coal spot imo.

Because power mining coal is dumb and slow.
Unless you are mining concentrated coal, then you should be banking your coal.
