I think I did not have this problem. Did you see if saving the settings to the file worked?

do you mean through the Tools -> Security?

No, by restarting Simba. ;)

E: Yeah, this works for me. Are you using the latest security.sex (from 0.9?)

E: It seems to work for me anyway… but I'm using RC5. But this shouldn't matter since RC5 == 0.9.

I was talking about the security.sex version. Could you compare it to the one in git?

Shuttleu

Perhaps you are getting this: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?p=725144#post725144

See what happens if you remove all code in Free. (srl.sex, reflection.sex, security.sex)

(Then restart Simba)

You may want to disable all the other extensions just to test this specific one.

ok done a bit more testing
i commented out all the code in the procedure Free and disabled all the other extensions then restarted simba

if i clicked on always allow for directory then it would keep the changes as long as i did not restart simba, but if i restarted simba then all the settings were lost

So, its not saving to your settings.xml.

Try moving an *unmaximized* simba. Then close it, and reopen it. Does it open to the same place?

Where have you installed Simba? Do you not have permissions to read/write files in this directory?

it does open in the same place

i have installed it in C:/Simba (the default directory)
i do have permission, i am the only user, admin and UAC is disabled because i hate the popups
