Well I came around here about a couple years ago looking to learn how to script, took one look at pascal and shit a brick. Now I have 6 months in iraq of time to kill, and i intend to be a little more diligent in sticking with it. Anyways thought since i was going to be reading your tutorials and quite hopefully becoming a functional member of this community someday ^^, i'd say hello. What's the shortest duration you can enlist in the army? just wondering.

Wow you're in the airforce and you are already 6 weeks into deployment. Congratz

I heard Noidea's whisle. Wish I could have gotten off with only six months.

@x[Warrior]x3500: 4 years where'd you hear that. The lowest active service on can enlist for is 2 years with 6 years inactive service.(inactive means they can call you back if they need your specific job.) 3 years active and 5 inactive. and so on it will always equal to 8 years regardless.

Edit: Quick note I make 7 years in 10 Days. I own 3 cars outright and now have no bills. plus a really nice investments account and mutual fund. Remember save, save, save retirement isn't guarenteed unless you make your own.

brak's right, although to distinguish between the branches, air force lowest you can enlist is 4 years, army is 2 years.
