So, long story short, I have a new laptop. Toshiba Qosmio, it's got a nice gfx card and 6GB of RAM, so I expect that I can play some pretty high quality games on it.

The nerd at Best Buy said I'd be able to play COD on it if I wanted, so I figure it's gotta be good enough for most games that I would like.

The thing is, I'm pretty sure most games use a mouse, and I don't really feel like using it. I will if I have to, but are there any games that are good for a laptop? I haven't gamed with a PC since the days of MOHAA and Starcraft, because my last couple computers had terrible gfx cards and could barely load the welcome screen of any games.

Oh yeah, I'd also like games that are still good in Single Player mode, so that I can *acquire* them in a manner which does not allow for multiplayer. Or if people know how to torrent games which have working multiplayer, that works too.

Runescape is a pretty cool game, look it up.

I agree with Brain. Runescape is a game that will suit your needs, and should work beyond the welcome screen with a computer like that.

Your not going to find many games that use that power without a decent mouse…

I kinda made the thread for legit suggestions for games that are good to play when you torrent them.

RTS games should be able to be played w/o a mouse.

Well I have a mouse though.

How about in your mind, make the title "Games that are fun to play?" and then tell me what games are good to play even without multiplayer.

Half-Life 2, Fallout or Oblivion, Portal, Mass Effect 2?

Buy a bluetooth mouse.

Since you haven't gamed for a while, I'll give you a few generics :

-Bioshock
-Dead Space
-Mass Effect 1 & 2
-GTA IV (which I haven't played yet) and liberty city stories (ditto).
These are pretty graphic intensive, so it all depends on how nice your gfx cards is.

Meanwhile, there's a hidden jewel in the video gaming world. It's called Giants : Citizen Kabuto.

It's basically a hybrid of every good thing in a video game : RTS and FPS, campaigns and (free, even if torrented) multiplayer, a sci-fi shooter, med-fan and smash 'em up rolled into a nice little production.

I highly recommend it to all of you. Who's never dreamed of fighting mages with guns, and blowing up fortresses with tornadoes? :)

I'm thinking of actually buying COD MW2 for the online play, so I'm avoiding the torrents of any COD stuff.

I dont need the entire series of COD on my computer. I'll likely only play one version, so if I buy the newest one, I wont need the older one..

:p You should. All CoD campaigns are really fun. :) And it's always nice if your Internet goes down or something. :p

I know quite a few people playing CoD with a laptop (without a mouse), it takes a bit of time getting accustomed to it but it's doable.

get a usb mouse.. the only hook up you need is to plug into the usb :p and you can get good ones cheap

I just said I have one? It's hooked in right now, it's usb. I meant that I was too lazy to go find it, but I did, and I have it. I've been playing Fable for 3 or 4 hours now because I can't find good seeds for games that work with Windows 7 64 bit…

I brought both these games about a week ago at a 50% off sale, and I recommend don't bother with GTA 4 get, Episodes of Liberty City because it has 2 story lines, which are much better. Lost and damned is WIN!

But, yea, it is VERY graphics intensive, I have a 9800GT 512mb DDR3 and it still lags…

I wonder, has anyone ever played that Giants : Citizen Kabuto game? It's pure magic :D

Some RTS games. The engine is pretty sweet. Its not graphical intensive but it can be a CPU hog when you get to 100,000 units. ;)

MOHAA was an awesome game. I played that all the time growing up, I was insanely good at it, now I suck at most FPS games.

If you are looking FPS, I enjoy CS:Source, and MW2. I also like to occasionally play the old CoDs because of the old weapons that are nice.

Apparently it has a "Total Memory" of 3730MB says dxdiag when I run it in the run box. But I don't think that would ever be right..

I can remember getting 80 kills a round and 5-10 deaths. It was way more fun than COD ever has been, likely ever will. The gameplay online was excellent. I'd consider buying it again, to play multiplayer, but I'm assuming it's dead.

Same here, when I did Team Deathmatch. I was more of an Objective type of guy but I still got like 7-8 kills/1 death. I was part of a clan called -=[]DogzOfWar[]=-, ever hear of them? I was also part of another one of the top MOHAA clans, can't remember the name though.

Last time I went on was back in high school, 2 years ago. It was pretty dead on multiplayer then. A couple of servers but only like 2-3 people in a few of them.

It is pretty much a lost cause.

CoD MW2, StarCraft, Oblivion, and Team Fortress 2 :D.

NO NO NO NO NO. Shitty game is shitty, either just torrent a copy of CoD4 and play on the modded lobbys, or wait till black ops comes out in november.

If your talking about counter strike source, its not dead. I play it once and a while, if you need a steam account with css pm me and ill give you mine. I only get on it like once a month. Just login to the steam account and install css and it will let you play as me. I used to teamkill alot and am not very respected if anyone remembers.

Warcraft 3, if you like Strategy games, there are custom scenarios and there is Campaign. Addicting, so be careful.
