Is is possible to make simba run hidden completely from the world? I know simba can be told to not show console and minimize to tray. But can it be made to go one further? Better descriptions/examples:

Lets say super hide. Get it to be open.. you say run or not… if something goes wrong, the console shows up or the like. But in super hide mode. You have to enter a key combo for the simba to re-appear. ex: Ctrl+Alt+s+e+x or whatever it could possibly be.

Just had a thought, was curious, and thought this could be a neat feature.

Something like a boss key? Should be possible, probably even as an extension.

^ I think you are picking up what I am throwing down. Complete boss button to make simba go prone (active but hidden) and then a boss key combo to make it pop back up. It is like the minimize to tray.. but a few steps farther.

GetSelf.Show?[/QUOTE]^ not sure what you mean by that. :P

Yeah, try it. It hides Simba from the task-bar and system tray…

^ really sorry. where am I trying this?

Procedure/function not recognized. Can't type in console. And it is not recognized in command prompt.

If I am just being a silly fail goose. MY Bad.

I think its supposed to be like in extension? Maybe you can make an extension that checks for some keys that are pressed and hides/shows Simba?

Dude you need to add that code to the script then then you hook a procedure unto a key combo and then you add the code that shows simba again.
/facepalm (never thought I would say this: ltr)

Edit: At least that is stated above ^^.

^ thanks that is a workable solution.

* still wondering if it can be implemented directly into simba

Possibly, but not a priority TBH. ;)

Ok, that is what I thought. I just wanted to know, and yes I think it would be nifty. Nope, not crash priority or security flaw =]

It's very easy for Windows with API calls. There is a snippet around the forums from me that hides Appa. But, like Dan said, it's easier for Simba because you have the form (parent/owner of menu). I'll make it when I get back, if it's not made already.

Woops, thinking of SCAR. SCAR has it…
