Prepare to pvp items and rares rise. ^^

Pretty stupid on Jagex's part. I've seen people who bought hundreds of thousands of these for 160 ea before the update. Now they "have" billions of gp from it. Good way to ruin RS economy? I think so.

I don't think it puts money into the economy, as it's just increasing the price of something already there. It means more money changes hands though, and these are the boots most often used for pking - so its an extra 75k each death if people still use them. So its a pretty big money drain

People are high alching them for like 35k or something like that.

the alch price is 45k. i literally generated 18m out of the 400 i had.. there are people who have 100k+ boots lol

I don't think people will use them for pking anymore. No one will buy them, in fact. They were only used previously because they were so cheap, yet they had a strength bonus.

They probably will not sell for lowest in ge for a WHILE. Problem is, people can alch them for 50k ea.

Lol, that's just so stupid. Jagex knew people have bought climbing boots for 12gp from the vendor and sold them in GE for like 200gp and some have thousands of boots in their invs. There were many bots for this too, for example RSBot. Say you had 1000 pairs of boots, sounds reasonable? 1000*50k = 50,000k = 50M

dooooode :p if you had before the update the normal climbing boots they transformed to the new rock climbing boots.

There are now 2 types of boots. You can buy boots without the str bonus for 12 gp or something or buy the new boots at the shop for 75k. Those new boots have the str bonus. And before the update you could buy those boots for like 200 gp. or 12. Dont know precisely.

I am shocked that there are some people here who didnt heard anything of it.
Mod Mark literally gave RS players a couple of hundreds bills. Really bad for the economy.

They will high alch for 45k.


Dragon boots for example high alch for 12k.

Big facepalm…. I even saw a youtube movie of someone dieing in pvp with 788M because he quitted after this big fail update.

We might even see these being used as a new currency and have actual value, much more rare and useful than gp.

I pay attention to SRL, I can't be bothered to be around on 3 more RS related sites.
E: not like I woulda made money anyway, not being a member.

Everyone at Rs forums is going mad, well mostly people like us, the ones who didnt know about it, and didnt make any money out of it lol… Still, that will ruin so much the economy if nothing is done, everything will rise so much since those people who made billions can buy w/e they want at the price they want.

I think he is either joking, or referring to the people who boosted the price of these boots.

This anyway just adds insult to injury – RS will never be even close to what it once was. In my honest opinion, SRL should start focusing on other things than RS. A big change, I know, but am I really the only one who can't even force myself to look at the saddening remnants of that game?

What about 3D game development? There are a lot of nice engines out there.

I know, I even created a bot couple of months ago that buys climbing boots for 12 gp from tenzing and banks at the guild. Was going to use it to xfer or create junk.

If anyone can find a post where this update was mentioned like you guys said, I would appreciate it because there are allegations against Jagex that this update was leaked for personal gain of some people. And everybody is kinda split on if Jagex leaked it or not.

^ I'm sure that if things can be leaked from the United States Government (and many governments, for that matter), things are most definitely leaked from Jagex. :p

It's more like 45mill p/h (1000 boots in the shop)… or even 450mill p/h if they sold 10k boots in the shop

Exactly. Learn that people will be annoyed if they miss out on a big opportunity like this, and that in the future these things should probably be posted here, as they usually are. Most people here dont have the time or will to trawl every single cheating/ge clan/pk clan forum in existance every second of the day in the off chance that firstly an opportunity like this comes up (cant remember anything this big, ever) and secondly that our community is one of the few that it doesnt get crossposted to (which it usually is, we're usually ahead of the masses here), and we shouldnt have to. We're a cheating forum too.

I'm just suprised more than anything, those who knew would of known there was no topic about it here, and that most people here arent active in many other places.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. There was even a program making you able to create any items such as partyhats. And that program was called autorune :)

be sceptical about those pictures. Its not impossible to photoshop it. I think the amount of gp people made of it isnt that much what most people think.
