Welcome to the Junior Member Competition! All JM are welcome to join, and we will be judging this competition.

The rules are simple:

Rules

• You must work on your own
• However much you have completed must be handed in by the time limit. Even if you don't complete the script fully, you still have a chance of winning
• You must use the SRL include
• Reflection may be used but only as a last hope failsafe which means that your color walking must be stable and reflection is used by the rare occasion when it fails
• You must make all of your own custom functions. You cannot take them from any other script even if you have permission. This means that the only procedures / functions you may use are the ones already in the SRL include, or ones that you make yourself
• Once you have submitted a script, you cannot submit another one / edit your current one, so make sure you check it over thoroughly before submitting your entry

We may add / change the rules at any time, and we will warn you when we do. They won't be big changes though.

Extra Rules!
We have to make this competition fun now don't we? So i decided to add a few extra rules to give some flavor to our scripts! I have wrote a list of various features that have to be included in your scripts! (Note alot of this is needed for SRL members anyways)

• Have tiara and talisman support
• Multiplayer
• AntiRandoms
• AntiBan
• Progress Report

You will get 100 points for meeting all the requirements. 0 If you fail to meet even just one of them.

Script will be judged on:

• Technique
• Individuality
• Follow all SRL rules: i.e break out of potential infinite loops etc.
• Creativity
• Content
• Efficiency
• Presentation
• Meeting all Requirements (check: Extra Rules!)
• Added Extras

Prize
The prize will be SRL Members and the Competition Cup. Along with that also comes Respect and Reputation among the community.

Submitting your entry
Once you have finished your script, PM it to Rasta Magician or ZephyrsFury so that others won't see your finished product until the end of the competition, and they can't steal your ideas that you worked so hard on! All scripts will then be posted up after the competition has ended, so that everyone may learn and gain new idea for walking and such.

Why should I enter?
Hopefully this will get you slightly motivated to create the best script you can, regardless of your ability. The more scripts you create the better you become: "Practice makes perfect". On top of that, when everyone has released their own versions of the script, you can compare yours to theirs and see what techniques they have used in their script: what works and what you can improve on. This will really help you improve your scripting skills.

In addition to comparing and contrasting with other scripts, we will also be commenting on each individual script, giving you tips on how it can be improved!

Note
If the you were a Junior Member at the start of the competition and then got accepted into members you are still entitled to win the Competition Cup and to have your script judged.

Also, to be promoted to SRL Membership, you don't have to be the winner of the competition. If your script is SRL Members material, you'll be promoted.

good luck everyone now that Ive officially started playing runescape again and have the need for a auto such as this i will definitely give it 110% effort regardless of my chances of winning, i have two questions though, 1: can we show a trusted SRL friend our script for suggestions etc, and is reflection required as a backup? thanks ;)

Yes you may seeking ideas or suggestions from other members however all (or at least almost all) of your coding should be your own. And no, reflection is NOT a requirement.

It is not a requirement but since it was newly added again I thought that some people would want to use it so I made a rule that it had to be a backup

you should add a bonus if they make it stop and rest at the musician :) It's a bit tricky to hit accurately and consistently.

If they choose to do that then they willl be graded accordingly but im not gonna put it in the thing because then its shoving ideas down there throught and I for one dont like to be told what to do

^ To stop bots or something stupid? I dunno. Maybe just because nothing has been in that area ever.

I'm joining :)…. However I only got a week. Camp for 3 weeks until the 26th >.< LETS DO IT!

You can make it only do one load. Tell the user to have full bag of essence and stand inside near the altar(include image where to stand exactly) and make the script to click a pixel(with ClickMouse of course). Then write in the debug to go get another load of essence if they want more air rune.
However the chances to win with that is pretty low, I would say.
(^sarcasm; Yep make it bank for sure!)

You can use either simba or scar.

Sima or scar either but preferably simba i cant get scar to work

i'm using scar… CHooseoption still doesn't work.

I'm on another comp atm. But that's where I got my scar originally from :). checked out from 2 sites, and one of them was that. Pretty sure I'm on the right version, but I will recheckout when I get back.

;) Simple problems can cause many errors. Happens to the best of us (heh, sometimes people even commit revisions of SRL which don't compile :rolleyes:).

new problem. Well, I updated… using open dev version (supposed to right?)…. same problems, can't detect bankers well, can't chooseoption.

Stops somewhere in the chooseoption.

Ah. That problem. Restart SCAR. Add a wait before your ChooseOption, as well. You could WaitFunc(@ChooseOption, 300), as well.

I used to get that when I tried to ChooseOption before the menu was up, but I'm not sure why.

You could also try Simba. ;) I've never ran into this error with Simba.

I was just using the openbank procedure, the wait's already built in =D. RESTARTING.

ok. Using 3.23 beta. (3.25 has weird errors)
Had Open Dev SRL dled and included properly, plugins moved.

WaitOption - doesn't seem to work.
OpenBank - Takes awhile to find the bank.



Took my script apart to test the bank Function at 'vwb'. If it's my coding. Plz tell me. I have a 3 week training course, so I have to try and finish a script before Sunday !!

mr.pickle, I'd really advise you to use Simba. Many of your headaches can be resolved quite easily by the switch. :)

Many? I would say all.

Got simba 100% setup (reflection,msi… etc).

The OpenBank now finds bank faster (I was on 16 bit colour), it now attempts to click 'use-quickly', but always hits somewhere too far left. i'll just script pretending that the banking works…

Edit: I didn't do activate client…. omg my programming fail. Sry about all the unnecessary trouble xD

Here's the issue.. I've grown extremely lazy due to the fact that school's over and I can finally relax in my favorite vacation spot. I can't focus on coding and/or learning at the moment, I'm just too excited to go to a country that I wasn't even born in as I love nature.(I live in a country area of Portugal :D)

We've (At least I have) been super busy with real life and haven't really had much time. I'll try and get some done on Saturday night. No promises though.
