It's okay. It's already jailbroken (by spirit) but not released to the public yet. And also redsnow and pwn have jailbroken "to" 4.0.

Its not worth the slow downs on my 2g touch to install it

I have 4.0 installed and jailbroken with redsn0w.

Some things don't work right now like they said. Five columns seems to always put my iPod into Safe Mode. Idk why.

^ :3 Silly people. Jailbroken phones running iOS4 will be cut off from service.

I have an iPod touch anyways ;p.

My supervisor has a iPhone 3G upgrade to the 4.0 software and has it jailbroken already and has no issues with his services.

Apple fails hard at stopping jailbreaks. There's no way they can stop it, because assuming you have to load software on to the phone, you can always hijack that system.

Also, they will have service restored shortly… if it ever does drop. People will be raging so hard they might not even actually have to hack it.
