Multi Monitors

I have found out that when I try and run simba scripts on a computer that has more than one monitor, it doesn't always function properly. If I have simba in a secondary monitor, running anything on the computer, it won't antiban or any of the other get/find/move functions.

That's odd. Do you use SMART or no? I use dual monitors and use SMART and I never have problems.

I am not using SMART. I have simba set up exactly the same on the same OS on diff computers… and if I run simba on the dual monitor setup I start getting the fails… it runs and says it executed properly.. however when it 'runs' it just doesn't do what it was told to do… completely looks over it or fails.

Same, here. Windows 7 64 bit. Never had any problems.

Try using SMART and see what happens.

I suggest using SMART. I run 3 monitors on Win 7 64bit. Works flawlessly for me. Plus with SMART it seems to work better on faster computers. (i'm guessing its a decent computer with dual monitors and win 7 64bit)

Well, if you have problems with it not finding the client data, then the same should happen (sometimes) when you pick a colour.

For me the problem exists if I start simba in the attached monitor (not the primary). Taht is when I get fails most of the time. SMART does help solve problems, but what if I am trying to make a script that is not yet to the point where it would play.

ex: startup, check for interwebs, update antivirus, open internet, select random script, and go from there…

You must use two video cards then, one for each monitor. I have two video cards as well but my main one runs two monitors and the other runs one. I noticed I can pick colors back and forth fine from the two monitors running on the one card. But my 3rd monitor on the other video card can't interact with the other two. (Did you get what I said? lol)

Yea, I got that. ^ Good point. Just because I play with computer builds all the time, I get bored and try new things out. The problem also exists with one card while using a splitter. (also called dongle). :P Who doesn't enjoy playing with dongles?

Do you happen to remember if SCAR also had this problem?

Yeah, SCAR did have this problem too (picking colors from secondary screens), I reported it back then and it was fixed by Freddy for version 3.20.

From v3.20 changelog:
"[#47] Colorpicker only supported main screen"

Do you happen to know if this works when someone uses multiple video cards as well? Simba works for multiple monitors, but I don't have two different video cards in my computer… :p

Are you using one card with two ports, one card with a dongle splitter, or no card with mobo splitter?

No idea :/ I guess it needs some testing? :D
I also have just 1 video card in use.

On the computer that I brought this up because of, I am running a mini form factor with a single graphics card and a splitter.

Well, you can file a bug. Perhaps we will find a dev sometimes with multiple video cards. :D

^ Ok, I will go about that for my next move. I know the devs have things to do and I didn't want to boggle then with a problem that wasn't an actual simba problem and was just pebkac.

I assume this is still valid?
