Yes I know Cod 4; CoD:MW2 is much better with all those newbtubers and those endless newb perks etc. I won't deny if CoDMW2 used Dedicated servers I would run one. The problem is it doesn't.

Now I got a Dedicated Static IP Call of Duty 4 Modded Server.
It runs very smooth without lagg has a lot of cool features as in custom maps. A custom map voting system. A custom admin status control panel.
And lots of yeah cool functions… it runs the openwarfare mod.
I disabled stuff like martydom and last stand, convince me if you want the perks.
Maps load faster and smoother me and my friends enjoy it there, but I managed to get more slots so we want and need more players.

Hey, psst. Include a link to a CoD4 torrent in your post.

How much can you mod it yourself? I think you should modify Last Stand to act like Second Chance did in CoD5, and *then* include it. It's useful for Search and Destroy.

Dude I am sorry I removed the Files from my File server causing you to get like 20 kb/s instead of like 1 MB/sec

Yeah I believe your good, but some things like placing 3 placing randomly at a wall and then me or my teammate "accidently" standing there was odd.
Or you shooting through 3 walls etc and then killing someone but still it was fun.

I'm downloaded as we speak. Do you know if it works on Windows 7? A few of the comments (at ISOHunt) said they couldn't get it working with 7. Also, I remember you telling me on MSN something about not needing a serial number to play on this server, correct?

I'm going to dl later tonight when I'm done downloading MW2 :)

It's a FFA on backlot apparently… It can't get the ping. It appears I can't connect, this must mean there's something wrong on my side or the server is down.

The server is down… my friend fucked up hosting somehow.
And btw you need to fill in the server name without the port afaik(not sure).
But I will try to get it back on, trying to run a Mw2 server also :).

same here. I got MW2 working today.

In CoD4 you can connect to a server via console by connect <IP:Port> command. :)

Yeah I now know how to run it dedicated but yeah, my hoster is down, so I will probably will do it through hamachi with my friends.
It works like this I give you a archive(.rar) with some files by AlterIWNet they managed to make their own IWNet Server and with some configs(what I did for you) you can join the same game as I. I kinda works with lobbies and because there is no steam you can't invite friends, thus you have to join the same gametype as me and my friends or your friends, so you have to communicate like let's do the free for all and everyone clicks the free for all and you're in you have ranking and shit so :):).

I know my summary is a little bit messy but get hamachi and get mw2(http://tinyurl.com/37n9lg9 not needed if you have mw2 already.)
Pm me for further instructions.
You need to know the hamachi channelname from me.
You need to receive a package from me.(with the configs)

In mw2 at least. I tried it, and its just like the real thing. In my two rounds playing (:p), I encountered no suspicious behaviors.

It was pretty fun :)

Is IWnet the actual version of MW2, or do you download a torrent first, then install IWnet. In that video you posted the guy drags files into his MW2 folder. Would that be possible with a paid version?

I believe IWNet is just playing with other people that are using IWnet. A lot of people use it though.

Yes, but backup your original files first if you wish to pay the "real" version some times, then you will have to copy those files in there again.

Not yet, I'm only installing the single player version right now until I figure out if I want the real one or the IWnet one. Lol. But the SP version is in steam, yes.

Listen to me if you bought it just keep it that way I advice it to download the link I posted and extract the archive I am going to post asap. Because you will probably screw up your real MW2, and by the way The real MW2 uses IWnet and like 10k players on alterIWnet the only problem is the last time I tried there where 10k players online but I wasn't able to play with them(I couldn't find ehm somehow)!

Note the crack is configurated to play on my Hamachi IP, since the Real alterIwNet is down, we have to play on mine; Till it's back online(I hope asap).
Join my Hamachi server/channel by the name WDGAF2 or if it's full WDGAF3. greetz!

Summary

Yeey, Frement and I got it to work, I wasn't 100% sure it was possible to play it through hamachi but it is! :).

I don't think hamachi is required. You could just setup the server to another computer that has public IP? I'll experiment with it when I get more time.

Yes but this is for my server ALterIWNet is down, it shows there are 10k players in the lobby but there ain't 10k players for me it's down =S. You could use the youtube thing. for the first few steps.
