So: www.github.com

Its nice, it supports both svn and git.

It allows a LOT more freedom with manipulating files.

Yeah, I don't see why not?

Sounds good to me. I've been thinking about starting up a project over there also.

Everything else will me moving to GIT anyway. May as well stay consistent.

Bump..

I say we do this now.

Assuming we do this, I need user names for commit access. :)

Two months after that doesn't seem too late to me.

Not to mention, I did not mean it like that.. I don't think..

Either way, git >> svn.

Done, located here: https://github.com/Nava2/srl-reflection

Added some people as I went. :)

Please work on your own local forks/branches and merge into the main master. I may move the repos to an organisation outlook, thus allowing me to work on my local version at this current location.

Either way: Make sure you work on your local branch then merge into the master.

For now, I have kept the master commit ability to the more senior members, NO OFFENCE INTENDED. Please submit pull requests and one of those with access will happily merge them.

I should totally do this for the developers repository too. ;) No offense intended.

I disagree. There isn't a single developer who shouldn't be able to update the main branch himself.

I was talking about the SRL SVN, I don't know much about the reflection developers, just to be clear =P

I'm glad you didn't catch my sarcasm. ;)

Although you do kind of lose the advantage of git if you just give everyone commit access. Layering and such.

I really didn't haha

Traditionally it has been proven for the SRL include though that if everyone is able to contribute directly to the main one that everyone uses it spares us a lot of downtime and inconveniences etc. hence why no one uses regular SRL anymore, and open dev literally is the only SRL.

So do we do anything differently from SVN? Or is it the same old just commit the changes?
Also giving up on the command line thing. I'm getting TortoiseGIT, the command line Subversion makes more sense than GIT xD.

I'm "pyroryan" on GitHub.

I told you exactly how to commit on github :(

Fork the repos.
Create a new branch.
Check out to the new branch
Commit to the new branch
Push to the new Branch
Submit pull request to upstream branch (ONLINE ON GITHUB)

I then pull from you. :D
