Pictures and greater description will be added when I get home from school. I'm writing this blindly at school :P
Welcome to my first tutorial in my Reflection Tutorials series. Refletion was recently changed to be included outside of the SRL folder. Reflection is NOT part of SRL, but it does utilize it. SRL is required for reflection, however reflection is NOT required for SRL. This is the reason for that change. With that being said, let's move on to the tutorial!
Some Info…
Reflection is stored on a subversion (SVN). An SVN is a system for storing projects online, and keeping them completely up-to-date by the push of a button. This allows the users to download updates immediately after they are submited.
Prerequisites
There are two things required to install and use reflection:
Getting Reflection
After installing these two programs, you will want to go ahead and create the reflection folder. To do this, navigate to the Includes folder within Simba's program directory, right click, and click new -> folder. Name this folder "reflection".
Now that you have the folder, you will need to add the subversion to the folder. To do this, right click the reflection folder and click SVN Checkout. When the window comes up, copy-paste this link into the text box:
Once you have done that, click "ok" and it should download all the files into the reflection folder. *Hint, when your folder is outdated, an icon with an exclamation point will appear next to the reflection folder. These means you need to update.*
Keeping your folder up-to-date
In order to keep your reflection folder up-to-date, you should be mindful of the red (!) icon next to the folder. When you see this, right click the folder and click SVN Update. You may also want to update your folder once a day, just in case that icon doesn't appear.
That's it for this tutorial! I hope I covered everything and helped you gain a greater understanding. If you have any comments, questions, or concerns about the subject, please feel free to post! Keep on topic and obey all forums rules.
