I'm not a part of MSI so my opinion probably means nothing or little, but I think it's a great idea personally. Would make walking more reliable, sounds like a great idea.

I'm not a part of MSI …. ?

and… dunno.
Seems like the wrong perspective to have.
Will think of some way to counter that, but no clear ideas as of now.

Well, technically he's not. Hasn't ever contributed in anyway.

I read your reply to him though and the only way to really have everyone feel the way you explained would be if Members were more active. Right now we are perceived to be the people who run and code MSI mainly because no one outside of us has stepped up to contribute anything.

This kinda goes back to when me and blumblebee were suggesting to not admit SL's so quickly. That way people might at least put forth some work for their title and other members will see it and do the same. Now all we have is people who got the title and have still never done anything to earn it.

True. This will most likely change once the miner starts properly rolling.

Once MSI comes into common usage I think more people will want to contribute/help out on forums and this idea of not being included will change mostly.

Idea:

Move all planning/coding to the open forums. Make it completly open source, including any coding discussion.

Just General SL section remains. Used to discuss MSI problems, direction, outcomes, etc. A core left just for the SLs to bring in new SLs and keep everything running. Planning the future.

SLs remain the only ones able to commit.

All coding, -> public.

MSI is everyone, everyone is MSI

The more people see of the development/planning/final product the more interest will be aroused. More interest = more users; more users = sense of community and involvement.

imo :p

Probably wouldn't hurt us at all to try it out :)

Bebe said it well.

The main reason, I suspect is that they don't get how the system works, and how to use it in their functions. We had two tutorials which were on the move, but activity has faded.. I am the main person responsible for that :(.
If we can get those tuts done and out, it'd make everything so much easier, I believe :).

I tried to fire the walking up before I left on holidays but it didn't get anywhere. I am extremely busy for the next day or two but after that I will nail the walking, start committing and get the miner section started.

I think we need to start building the frame for the miner to get things rolling, activity failure on our part is not an option now that we've come so far!

ABSOLUTELY!

And yes, we've all become more inactive. I got a job and that combined with real life and school, I don't have a lot of time right now. We all have other commitments. The more people that have the option to participate the better.
