Yeah :(
I just saw that there's no reflection.dll in the reflection svn, so it will be 2 separate installs again… one for SRL, one for ref.

I see no reason why Reflection can't continue to be maintained in it's own SVN. MSI is and we don't have any problems besides user activity.

I aslo wouldn't want SRL dependent in any way on Reflecion due to how easily it is broken.

Wizzup?

Why would Reflection need a .dll? I don't understand… Also, I'm not the only Simba developer, but I don't see how much Simba actually has to do with Reflection. To use it you don't need to change one bit in Simba, AFAIK. People are already using Reflection in Simba using SMART.

Unless you mean that Simba should have Java-stuff which load clients, etc?

No I don't mean that.

And I thought reflection needs it's own dll in addition to the smart dll, but great if not

^^This

From what I understand, Ben simply adds it into the SMART.dll when he wants to update it. So if you have the newest smart, it includes reflection, or you could have the one that doesn't include it, that is old.

No, all the functions for reflection are in Smart and never need to be updated. The only thing that needs to be updated is the Hooks.scar. Smart has the functions like SmartGetFieldInt(0, ourhooks) and so if you have smart, you have the capability of having reflection and it doesnt need to be updated.

You misinterpreted what I said. I simply meant that in order for reflection to work, Ben has to add interpreters to SMART which reply to "SmartGetFieldInt" which are not included in versions of SMART which are older. I remember reading one of your posts where you said "Ben added in *function* to SMART and now reflection can interpret *part of RS* so this part of reflection works now". Which is what I meant by "added into SMART.dll". I have never had a conversation with anyone about how it works, but from information around the forums, that is what I have pieced together.
