getting it to send you a text is pretty easy, but to me the hard part is a picture message…

Oh! that would be cool.. Why do you need pictures?

well the whole point behind it is for captcha's.


there is a game i'm working on a script for, but the only thing stoping it is a captcha…

if i can get the script to take a pic, txt it to me, and i give it the answer, than it can continue…

Just setup an email thing (Trilez's) and have it send to your sms number. number@place

Yup, Trilez tut is all you need, or just use the stmp…

i had a lot of help figuring this out lol, cause i'm noobish at it.

If someone could figure out how to send picture messages from inside scar that would be sick. Also how to email the responces

Why would you want pictures? Of the current screen?

Might have problems && the @phoneprovider email will only for for SMS, not MMS.

Using your ISP's smtp's servers would probably the best way (or running your own, if you're not in spamhaus (which is doubtful for a residential ISP)).

Yea, im using the smtp server but don't know what other connection's i can use to actually upload the picture to.

Edit: The point of picture messaging is this:

I run the script, and when it comes to a captcha screen, it sends me the pic of the captcha, so i can give it the answer, it then input's the answer to the program and continue's to run…

What if it activated the ability to send messages only when a pmod/jmod is on the chatbox? Identify the icon, send an SMS alert and send the message that the mod is saying to your phone?

That would be a little… slow..

Not sure if someone already answered your question; but you switched the from and to -mail. You have to switch the parameters.

It would be the same thing as sending a proggy to your phone.

SRL can detect and grab the mods text in what, a few seconds?

Also, you could have SCAR/Simba put the image on a website, and just send you the link if you have a internet browser enabled phone. :)

I dont know about you, but my SMS' commonly take more than 30 seconds each way. 1 minute or more would be a pretty slow response time.

You can use this to send free sms messages to anywhere in the world! :O
Only problem is that you have to enter a captcha, but it looks easy to make a solver for :)
