Dear Shadow of mine,


[INDENT]Stuck to me daily, you walk by without realizing it until the time comes when we find each other alone. It is then that I look at you. How you've seen me smile and exhausted, crying and laughing, even sleeping. You've seen so much of me. But I barely see you. How can this be?


I look and try to touch, but you slip away. Sometimes I think to myself.. What would it be like if you actually.. touched back? Would it be warm, cold? Soft or hard? Would you walk like me, talk like me? humm.. Laugh to my jokes? Would you.. Go with me for drinks?


Oh Shadow.. you really saw it. Remember that time I tried talking to you the first time? How those people looked at me! Them and their shadows.. Some of them were my friends…


Well… I have to go now.. but hang in there 'k? Maybe one of these days we'll have the time to catch up. I think I'd enjoy that. How does at the park sound? We'll see..[/INDENT]

This time, keep in mind that this is me working on a character, and this is what is going on in this part of the plot:
The character is secretely writting to the person he loves. He talks to her as if she were his shadow for her to not figure out who this letter is directed at.

O.o i read too much i actually thought he was talking about a girl before i read what you said at the bottom…

The title made me cry because it made me think of Father of Mine by Everclear. :<
