Scripting Leader Application

Team Scripting Experience:

I have made many private script with many different team people
I am on the POMS scripting team as well.

Solo Scripting Experience:

I have released a few scripts but made many more script that are just for me (because I don't think anyone else would need them)

Why do you want to become an MSI SL:

I want to become a MSI SL because I think i could help the project move along greatly and get it actually going, such as I think that if we actually released a script we would be showing the SRL population that we mean business and then they should join because right now I think that the other SRL members don't think that were serious about getting MSI going

those are jsut a few and their not very advanced becuase I had to make them in a few minutes and if they run fine why make them super complex ivae had all of those scripts run for multiple hours at a time

What do you guys think? He also applied to be an SRL JM Comp #3 judge, meaning he really does want to get involved.

I don't see his scripting ability to be on par with what is needed to be an SL. That's just me though. I think it's weird that nobody wants to contribute to MSI unless they can achieve a position of power. I would like to think that we should have a requirement of being active and contributing to MSI before being allowed to be a SL.

I like him, he's a good guy. However, I don't think he's been very active the last while. For example "such as I think that if we actually released a script we would be showing the SRL population that we mean business" ~ does he not know that it's been released? I also agree with Blumblebee in the sense that his scripting ability isn't up to par. I just don't think he'd understand the include. Like dgby, I'd like to see some contributions to prove he understands.

Final decision (for now): He won't be coming in. None of you guys were for it, and although I had a whim, I believe I might have been wrong.

He did indeed never do anything for MSI,
When PMed about MSI standards & so on he never replied, in contrast with garret who promptly replied, and he also applied for the reflection mod position, although I see other people doing a lot more than he does.

I'll be becoming properly active again soon, meaning I'll finally be completing the switch to git, simba (and hopefully ubuntu :) ) and i'll be busting some activity, organization and scripting into MSI again, as well as probably starting to convert some of my scripts to use the MSI include so they can just be plucked in.

Hopefully I'll also help write a good chunk of the miner, as I have my guild miner as a base.

[Finally I'll also get a few other projects started. I love the fact that you guys were able to keep this alive even with my activity increasing and decreasing, and hopefully I'll be able to get a team even if nearly as good as you working on other projects, such as scripting competitions. ]

Great to hear as I'll becoming less active (not much, just a little) as I'm starting work soon. I'll be working 7 - 4:30, but only 4 days so it's not that bad. I'll still be able to contribute my share. :D
