2) Marijuana is cheap to obtain
3) Marijuana will not negatively affect my life, my family, nor my job.

Used to for 2 years, honestly, it had no negative effects. If anything, it made me a better person. Now, i'm not trying to convince people to smoke, because it really isn't worth the risk and cost. But, it helped me mature more as an individual, and made me realize a lot of things that are important in life. Plus, it helps me concentrate on certain things that need to be done, and to top it all off. It gave me a much better appreciation of different foods and music. I quit because I got extreme paranoia the last few times I smoked, I have no idea why, never happened before and I have smoked over 500 times. I think the bud my friend got was laced, because I never had an experience like that one before, and honestly, I thought I was going to die.

I smoke quite regularly. At least once a day, unless I have Nathan obviously, then I don't smoke.

To be honest, it helps me relax after work and be able to sit down and do this SRL nonsense ;)

People get affected in different ways, sucks its like that for you.

I smoke with friends regularly when we have it. It has a positive effect on me makes me want to do stuff. (mostly play MW2 or Halo online) Best way I can describe it.

I only smoke it with my friends. I haven't in a couple weeks. It usually works out to be a once a week thing that we just do for fun. We only get a bit at a time, and just get enough to feel good. I find myself to be a lightweight. Time goes slow motion, and I get scared that it will stay that way forever because it feels like it's a never-ending high if I have more than a gram or so.

I would, but my girlfriend would see me as a "drug addict".

:3 I try to smoke as often as I can. It helps me with a lot of stuff; depression, ADHD, anxiety, and pain (arthritis in both ankles at 16 = sucks). Lately I've been noticing my highs aren't the crazy fun ones that I used to get when I first started (and when I mixed drugs and thought that Avatar in 3D was Finding Nemo at Lazer tag), but I think I enjoy these more.

I really appreciate whoever said it made them mature more as an individual (Sebo?). ^^ And I can definitely understand that. Not only do I think more calmly while sober, but from those old kind of annoying highs that everyone gets when they either think that weed is the craziest drug ever and they're so cool for smoking it, or just because they're high and don't know how to react, I've realized that people enjoy others who are "chill," and I think it's helped me with that.

Also it helps me focus EXTREMELY well. Actually, that leads me to a question to anyone who smokes/smoked: do/did you ever just get a high where everything is very vivid (usually if you look at an object, everything behind it is blurry to some extent, and doesn't really pop out like the object you look at does, but the highs I've been getting, everything pops)? I also tend to focus more, but that may just be me. I'd like to know. ^^

Oh, I try to only vape. Mostly because I think it's much better for me, and also because I think it tastes, feels, and has much better effects than joint/blunt/bubbler/bong/pipe. And I never get cotton mouth or the munchies or any of that stuff when I vape. Never have gotten a laughing high while vaping, either. :) I always suggest to people who are planning on trying it to vape, because it's 100% easier, less harsh, etc.

Eh. I think it's a worth investment. Weed lasts longer with it, and you get more THC from it (meaning less is wasted).

Also, since I forgot to mention this above, I definitely don't think that it's for everyone. I don't try to get people to smoke, either. And at the most, I just have people who were thinking about trying it hang out when some people smoke. Personally, I think it's good to see that when you do it you don't like die or anything and you just kinda hang out and chill. But I think it's terrible when people try to force others to do it. D:

I don't mind the smoke, but I won't bother actively smoking it until I these conditions are met either, I'd rather not risk getting a criminal record that will cause shit to me for years.

The main reason I hope it'll be legalized is that there'd be less teenagers glorifying it and acting like they're some badass rebellious gangsta motherfucker's for using it. It'd most likely be used way less too if it was legal, as then it'd mainly be used by the people who like it, not the people who smoke it just to act like they're some cool tough guy. I'm in north carolina and it's decriminalized, but other places over here in the east are hard ass about it. Not every where in the US gets those privileges.

Sometimes I study while stoned, it can help understand chemistry, physics and philosophy concepts and the memory loss isnt really an issue. It also opens up other circuits of conciousness, making just sitting there thinking a very productive use of time due to the certain clarity of thought it brings.

A few things I've been wanting to say..

blackelvis, there's nothing wrong with vapes. I know what you mean though, it really isn't the same. But I personally think it's all around better. And it's better/safer. The vapor still smells like smoke, but while taking a hit it doesn't taste/feel the same. I know what you mean, but I personally enjoy vapes more (and you can get pipes that are vapes, where you use a lighter and all. They cost about the same as any glass pipe, and it gives the same experience of hitting a pipe (except it lasts MUCH longer. Quite nice, in my opinion).

Also, cycrosism, you'd be surprised at what people do while high. The way you get your ideas of stoners is from no actual reliable source. But anyway, a lot of music is made while high, as well as comedy movies/TV/etc. Not always MADE, but a lot of times the ideas are formed while under the influence of drugs. And the high doesn't last four hours, by the way. It's more like 1-2 hours, and you can definitely still work while high.

I've been caught with weed a few times, and the police here are quite lenient about marijuana, and the times I get stopped by the police, I just tell them I have marijuana on me, I tell them where it is, and they either the cop or I grab it, and make sure it's nothing bad. I've never had them take it away from me; they always just give it back and tell me to stay safe and out of trouble. :p

Also, my friend was arrested for trespassing and she was tripping on DXM and she had some more tripc on her and cigarettes and some drug paraphernalia. She was 13 or 14 at the time and the cops gave her all of her stuff back. :p I guess it's more of something for my state, but whatever.

When do you hear of people being in shit from asprin? It ruins your liver, I'm pretty sure it has adverse side effects for your stomache lining, which is why you shouldn't take it on an empty stomache, and why you can't drink liquor with it (the liver damage part) and to top it all off, if you take more than the "recommended dose" you can experience hallucinations. If you don't believe me, then you are calling me a liar, I have experienced hallucinations when I was 13 because I took 4 asprin to calm my high fever.

Simply put, weed isn't bad for you, when used properly. Just as caffeine and "beneficial" drugs aren't bad for you, when used properly.

Take for example.. methanol when mixed in ethanol. Ethanol being of course drinkable alcohol, consumed by millions of people. Methanol being commonly called "Wood alcohol". Anywho, the difference between methanol and ethanol is not noticable to the naked eye, or nose for that matter. What happens when homemade moonshine gets some methanol in it? A few drops, and you're blind. A couple more drops? You're dead. Point being that moderation isn't the only key to being "fine".

But, I'm just in an argumentative mood tonight. I still agree with you that for all extensive purposes, anything that we should be arguing about on this thread isn't bad for us any more than the 'drugs' that we consider to be staples in life.

Actually, I think it's because your lungs aren't made to filter the THC out of smoke.

^ You don't cough due to THC. You don't "filter" it out, either. It metabolizes and turns into two different types of THC (the THC which gets you high is delta9-THC, and the metabolized ones are 11-nor and uhh.. I don't remember the other). You cough due to the thickness, heat, and amount of smoke, not because there's THC. And you don't cough after you're used to it. And coughing isn't killing you. It's an involuntary action.

And I insist that there's no bad effects because I don't think there is.

if you don't filter the THC (aka absorb from the smoke) then the THC does not get into your blood stream and cannot metabolize. Same with cigarettes, you filter the nicotine out (can also be filtered out through your gums).

Actually it was more or less a joke, of course your lung doesn't filter out THC… if it could then you'd be perfectly fine, but it turns out lungs weren't made for that.

Now I'm very confus.

Your throat and lungs are lined with tiny little "hairs" (dont know if its hair in the traditional sense) which have a function, probably to block particles from reaching the avioli or whatever. When you inhale hot gasses/particles (smoke, steam, and so on) these hairs can burn off (they grow back though), which triggers the reaction to cough which can cause pain in the chest or throat. So its doing reversible damage, thats why its a good idea to stop for a week or two every so often…if youve smoked all day every day for months or longer, you start to notice it a bit more.

Thats only after heavy smoking/smoking alot in one day though, and its very minor…a sore throat and a mild buzz the next day as opposed to being so hungover you throw up if you move or eat/drink, if you chose to binge on alcohol instead.

Long term effects, you can get a bit fried but quitting for a while also reverses that..and it actually does stuff to prevent cancer which has been proven, and doesnt cause any other physical damage. Obviously your body would be in better shape slightly than if you didnt smoke, but its not going to kill you or make you crazy. If done responsibly it can be a great tool for the mind

also ive coughed up black shit you would not believe in the shower before, and i know its from smoking weed. smoking anything can be detrimental to your health. doesnt it just pretty much burn the little alveolis until they dont work?

When using a vape you aren't even smoking it so it causes no damage whatsoever to your lungs.
