Kbot does not seem to bad at all. Seems like a Java version of SRL.

Make sure you read these rules. This will save you from getting banned or infracted.

1. Insulting KBoT members is NOT allowed.

2. No flaming, and no SPAM! If you don't having anything useful to say, don't say it.

3. Offensive material is not allowed on these forums. This includes, but is not limited to, pornography, gore pictures and offensive text. Having avatars or signatures that include any offensive material or anything not safe for work [NSFW] will cause in either a infraction or ban.

4. Plagiarism is NOT allowed in ANY kind of way. Plagiarims is when you take someone else's work and pass it as your own. You must be able to show proof that the original author has given you consent and permission to release their work. This includes, but is not limited to: scripts, guides, and converted scripts.

5. Referral links are NOT allowed. These links include links that give you an advantage when clicked on, or later on in registration.

6. Advertising is NOT allowed. The only way to advertise is to get specific permission from an admin. Otherwise the advertise will be considered SPAM. This also includes advertising in your signature.

7. Do not impersonate any member of the community. Registering names that give false information to other users is not allowed and it is a bannable offense. Such as, but not limited to, registering a widely known name from another forum and saying that you are them.

8. Use common sense. These rules are here for the user's protection. If you think you shouldn't post something, DO NOT POST IT. Staff may still take action whether it is in the rules explicitly or not.

9. No Rep4Rep is allowed. Anyone rep trading or any kind of abuse to rep is subject to consequences.

10. Topics which are posted in the wrong section will result in the thread starter receiving a warning. We understand that you may sometimes post in the wrong section but multiple accounts of posting a thread in the wrong section will result in infractions or more. Taking time to view all the forums we have to offer will save you from posting in the wrong forum.

11. Illegal material is not allowed. This ranges from anything that has warez, torrents, piracy but is not limited to only these things. Do not post anything illegal. (A rapidshare account stealer for example cannot be posted)

Remember breaking these rules can get you an infraction, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban.

High number of infractions may get you a temporary or permanent ban.

IP bans will be handed out as a last resort. Once IP banned you may not be allowed back into the forums. Evading bans will result in your IP being banned. IP bans will be permanent unless there was a mistake.

In the case that you've been infracted, or banned unfairly, please e-mail a member of the staff, or join our main IRC and pm one there.

Well, I've made a friendly entrance :)

Hello everyone :)
I'm an administrator from SRL, but I won't delve into that too much.
Let's just say I'm from a friendly and similar community and came to check this one out as quite a lot of talk about you has been going on in our forums :)

I've noticed a few things… KBot "Pro" - is this a pay-only version?
Verified & unverified scripts? Who verifies them, What are the standards for it to be accepted?
I've found your tutorial section, would anyone like to point me to a tutorial which would cover the absolute basics of how to script for KBot ? I've got a little bit of java knowledge and quite an extensible one of pascal script, so I shouldn't have too much difficulty understanding and learning.. :)

Where can I find KBot's native functions? For SRL we have a whole include online, I was wondering where I'd find something similar for KBot, or just simply tutorials?

I hope none of the staff takes offence or finds this threatening, I am just genuinely interested as this seems much better than RS Bot was, and I'd like to apply and extend my Java knowledge somewhere :)

Edit: Just in case anyone feels suspicious, feel free to PM me on SRL :P

And I have also PMed the main admin, Informing him that I was there with no harmful intentions :p I've looked around a bit and they don't seem to have too many Tutorials on scripting (java nor KBot specific), although they do have KBot JavaDocs.

I think that friendliness and some sort of link between the communities might be mutually beneficial as we have a large base of scripters and they have a large base of users, as well as the developers having java knowledge, from which we may learn or at least get the hooks for reflection :) Also, already quite a few SRLers seem to already be aware of KBot.

They seem to have some similarities in structures to us and are a free bot, with some additional features for those who donate. This seems to be their way of keeping the bot running.

The scripter base seems somewhat small, and the community seems to be mostly composed of leechers, although not h3110 1'/\/\ @ 133ch3R type.

When I have the time I will most likely look through their includes, as even those seem somewhat similar to ours, although obviously java.

I think there are some future possibilities here, although I haven't exactly thought through what, why and how. :)

Getting reflection going again would help. ^.^ (getting function codes and reverse engineering again probably =X )

If there is a friendly relationship established, we might just simply get the formulas, let alone reverse engineering! Of course a relationship between the two would its it's advantages and drawbacks.. anyway, I'm going back to my books now.

Well, last night it was discussed on IRC so I assumed it didn't change in one night.

It didn't change in one night…it's been the same (read: planned to be free) since the end of March and beginning of April over at KBot.
