Scar&SRL vs KBot

I asked this same thing in another thread here but I wanted to start a new one because IMO this is a hot topic. And I'm very sorry if there already is a thread like this, couldn't find one with the search.

I started autoing after having a long break a while ago, and I discovered/started to use KBot after autoing for a few weeks with Scar&SRL. Here are few things I noticed between these two "methods"

*almost all the scripts of KBot are faster and more human-like than Scar's
->KBot

*KBot solves all random events, SRL doesn't
->KBot

*with an extremely crappy computer like mine, KBot can run up to 4 bots at a time, Scar+Smart only works with one account, two accounts make it too laggy to work correctly.
->KBot

*there are more working scripts for KBot than Scar
->KBot

*KBot scripts can't be modified to fix a bug like you can do with Scar if you know how to write scripts
->Scar&SRL

Etc. etc.

Basically I'm just asking, are there any reasons to use Scar instead of KBot nowadays?

Kbot doesn't solve all randoms flawlessly I were stuck in a certer random for 6 hours whilst firemaking in FOG

-Community
-LearningToScript & Stimulate to gain more scripting knownledge.
-SRL&Simba is going to give a winning combo asap.

Ow and yeah, I don't play the game any more, most scripters just want their script run, but not like 400 bots on it by himself.
I never heard of KBot to be honest, so I don“t know how it works :P.

The way I see it, quickly summed up: (Don't take it too serious, I don't know KBot that well)

KBot ``hacks'' Runescape to do it's botting. Detectable? Most likely. -> SRL
KBot breaks every update (I assume) -> SRL
KBot allows you to run too much runescapes at the same time, which will make JaGeX monitor you much more closely -> SRL
KBot uses java (I assume) -> SRL
KBot solves all randoms? I doubt it. SRL solves a lot of randoms too, but some of the code is rather outdated.

KBot is strictly RS. SRL+Simba is for anything. -> SRL

I think this debate is hardly different from the age old RSBot vs. SRL discussion. In a nutshell, it always ends up in…

Go KBot/RSBot if
  • You want the quickest route to GP & Levels
  • You don't believe the theories that hacking the client via Java is insta-ban (In my opinion, that is false. When autoing responsibly, I've had the same amount of SRL bans as RSBot bans: 0)
  • You have patience with the horrendous communities (I don't know about KBot, but I'm assuming it's hardly better than RSBot used to be)
  • You have the patience to wait a few hours once a week (you're not autoing 24/7 anyway, so it doesn't matter really) when an RS update occurs for KBot to be updated

Go SRL if

  • You want the least chance of ban, though that could be argued: SRL solves less randoms but strives to be more humanlike overall, which holds more value? And again, do you believe hacking/injecting the client is detected by Jagex?
  • You want to do something productive with your time and not just leech simplistic Java scripts that you'll learn virtually nothing from
  • You want a community, not just a program that plays RS for you

I think BenLand100 stated that if JaGeX wanted to detect SMART, they could do it without too much hassle. I doubt it is any different for K/RS/Bla/Bot.

How? Did someone donate one to you or something?
Anyways, the way I see it, kBot will probably last for another 6 months, while SCAR will last forever (and SRL will most likely last for a long time too).
SCAR also has epic mouse splines, less users, and an awesome logo that I never understood the relevance of.

This is a timeless and winless debate. All people choose and use different communities/bots for different reasons.

We have way over too many of these threads already, everyone is just going to reiterate points that have been made time and time again in many threads, read ALL of this before asking more :]

Many things could be detected, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are currently.

They use Java… -> win for SRL.

But it does mean there's a certain risk associated with using that kind of means to macro.

Like Method, I don't see why Java < SCARscript…

I remember Qauters once made an announcement on the issue. He said that RSBot probably was detectable, but Jagex had not yet decided to implement anything to do so, and that if they did, it would be very easily recognizable (by him). I doubt the people at KBot are less competent that Qauters, so they probably think along the same lines.

Well, you can't get much worse than Java IMO… It's not SCARscript btw. It's PascalScript, an open source pascal interpreter.

I'd say PascalScript is quite a bit worse than Java for the purposes of automating tasks in RuneScape. However, since you're probably locked in to the opposite mindset, I doubt it's worth arguing over.

I'm not saying PascalScript is a good language, but I think it can arguably be better than Java. ;)

Just and FYI, we do not create/develop/maintain/support SCAR. You really only mentioned one "issue" with SRL.

Scar is soo easy to use and learn infact most of the people here can create private script within 2-3 days of learning (i'd say 6 hours).

This is also why scar is a lot better than the other bots, all the other bots doesn't have a lot of scripters, and all the leechers just leech on the scripts and get ban. In scar, people has their own scripts and can use it for days, month and years without getting banned.

Depends on what kind of person you are. Srl/Scar/Simba maybe more challenging, but was around for a really long time.

Java bots are mainly for leachers to leach.
