i put this in java instead of runescape becasue it is more a question of java then rs.
i have runescape all decompiled and i have looked through the source, but how do people find hooks, could i use cheat engine or something, cuz i dont see bank written anywhere, lol

also, there is tex uotput in rs(chatbox mesages), so wouldnt that be in the java source?

There are some string constants located in the client, yes, but much of the data you see on the screen is located inside the cache or sent from the server to the client during the gameplay. Finding fields of interest is not usually as simple as looking through the decompiled (and obfuscated) source code of the client without knowing how it works or what you're looking for.

then how do u find the values u need?

You would need have a working understanding of the client's architecture as well as many important data structures, file formats, etc. in order to find and refactor what you do know and figure out what isn't as obvious.

tl;dr, you need to be pretty damn good at java, like method is to even have a clue on what to do and what to look for

if people would actually commit/update the reflection includes with the new hooks, then you would be able to see all the hooks we can find

That depends on what sort of information you're talking about. In the past we could access the data for bank items including item ids, names, amounts, position in the bank, etc., and it's certainly possible to get that data now.

ids, or names and amounts, lol, i was trying to use nava2s bank evaluator. but no hooks, so i figured i would decompile rs myself and post the hooks i found, but, ther arent any words, its just a crap load of variables constants procedures and functions which have letter names instead of words

Ain't that a bitch.
RS-Hacking.com is where I learned about how to find hooks in the RS client.

1. Pretty good
2. No sarcasm
3. Have you tried the tutorial section? You need to view some threads about making updaters. For starters:
