Hello,
I just want to warn you all, this isn't about my account.
It's about the scripts I used.

I used the following scripts:

1) IceFire's Essence Miner
2) IceFire's Firemaker
3) Coh3n's Draynor Cutter
4) Coh3n's everywhere cutter
5) R!chie's Powerminer

The order is from the latest ones to the oldest. (1 being latest)

One of them caused this.

I personally havnt used any of these scripts (i make my own private ones) but IceFire,Coh3n, and R!chie have been known to make very good scripts. could it be your fault?

how many hours did you auto? did you not take a break? did you take any precautions or did you just press play and leave it there for 30 hours?

I agree with Warrior. They all make great scripts, especially IceFire's essence miner which was developed by 20+ people and Coh3n's scripts are incredibly nice as well. My view, and not to be mean: You didn't auto properly.

I autoed for 15 hours a day.

They caught me after 1 month.
Once you auto, it's always your fault… lol

What do you guys think I should say to get it appealed? The truth?

Never tell them the truth about autoing. It will do you no good. Also NEVER give them a suicide plea.

Some ones that have worked in the past:
Racism card - If your character is not Caucasian
Terminal illness - You stay on and play RS all day because you are stuck in a hospital and have nothing better to do.

Also, 15hrs a day is a bit much.

Do some math…
There are 24 hrs in a day
You are recommended to get 8 Hrs sleep a night
Leaving you with a 16 hr day
If you play 15 Hrs a day
You have 1 hr left to go about your day.

Jagex is not THAT ignorant.

Then it truly was your fault. I would never suggest autoing for more than 8 hours a day, and that is pushing it. Also, take days off from autoing, just do some legit stuff for a little while.

If you try and auto like a human would play, your much better off than just trying to auto as much as possible.

It's not any of those scripts fault directly. Well, at least not IceFire's or Coh3n's, I haven't used the other one.

I've already said it three times:

It's my fault, with scripts or without.
A script causes a ban, whether it was used improperly or whether is was used properly. If I played 24 hours a day without botting, I wouldn't have gotten a ban - You got to agree with me on that.

I'm just saying here which scripts I used so if another person gets banned using lets say one of those script, we'll be able to at least know which scripts need more tweaking in order to be not caught.

I think you guys thought I was mad and was trying to blame people.
Well, I'm not.
And I don't see what gets you other than higher post count to tell me that "It's your fault" when I already stated in my next posts that I agree?

guys, lighten up, it wasn't completely his fault, how many autoers go less than 8 hours a day??? legit players play more than that when on vacation / weekends. 15 hours is a lot, but right now im doing like 20h a day, but not for more than a week, no ban, im doing that witch kbot for now though, and its almost unhumanly fast ;D. es i am risking a ban, but im aso not doing it for long periods of time. im a kid so i really only need 1 hour to go about my normal day and still dont need 8 hours of sleep.(well, i should but i dont :P)

anyways, mysterious is putting up a good warning in my opinion, if a script was perfectly human he would NOT have been banned. it is no persons fault. beating jagex and looking completely human isnt easy. and we arent paid to make scripts either.

The same point of this forum. This forum wasn't made in order for your guys to flame the topic starter, is it?

It's in order to learn from other's actions. SRL is all about learning as the mods and admins say. Isn't it?

I already stated why I posted it here.

I'm saying that it is my fault for using scripts. A script causes the ban.

This is why:
A script runs 24 hours, a human lets say plays 24 hours.

The account with the script will get banned, but not the human.
The account with the script is noticeable. That's why.

If it wasn't noticeable, no one would have been banned and this thread wouldn't have been here.

Look at the logic. I will definitely keep contributing in scripts and post proggies. Some scripts are more noticeable than others. Lets help those scripts by seeing which of the scripts are.

This is exactly like posting a proggie. I don't see what gets you all against helping SRL have more knowledge over which scripts are better than others and which scripts are more noticeable?
It's as if you are all Jagex staff.

You would rather if everyone here were leechers?

So lets help the weaker scripts get to that perfection.

Your asking for someone to dedicate months of their time to get a color finding macroing program to get to that level.

As you attempted to say before, SRL is a learning community. It isn't likely that someone is that dedicated to RS or Pascal scripting to put forth that effort.

You should be extremely greatful to the people here at SRL who still release scripts. They take a long time to get right, especially if the person actually cares about their work.

There are plenty of warning's on how to properly auto with Scar/Simba and SRL. You chose to ignore them by autoing for 15+ hours a day.

I dont think he said that? We do our best to develop scripts for everyone to use, you really cant expect them to be 100% human like? You knew there was no auto-responder, you knew they might not be 100% human like, still you decided to auto 15 hours a day while you perfectly knew all you are going to get from it is a ban. That's actually the opposite of what I'm saying. That's why we have rules and guidelines to autoing with SRL, to avoid situations like this.

SRL is not 100% human like, but neither is any other macro/bot you may use unless it uses AI, which could still not make it perfect, and as far as I know, there are none of those..?

Plenty of people including myself auto with an SRL script on a daily basis. I haven't had a problem with a ban in over a year at least. Same goes for a lot of people here. You just need to cheat respectively.

Who plays 15 hours a day? Jagex will look at your account and see you playing 15 hours a day, every day, for a month. Now, how many people do you see just play runescape, eat, sleep and use the washroom? For a month straight? That looks pretty bottish for me. If I were to do that legitimately, and if people watched me doing the same thing for around a week, they would report me and Jagex would probably ban me.

Also, if it's the scripts fault for your ban, do you not think that you'd get banned if you were a level 3 character with default clothing? Even if the script has an auto-responder (which some do), you'd get banned.

Also, nobody is flaming you. We all think that it's your fault that your account got banned. It's not like your computer made you character itself and just started autoing it…

2010-04-21 18:01:05

I play rs 18-24 hours per day during the summer.

And I've got multiple 99s autoing with 50 line scripts for days straight.

Point being, it's your fault. I auto much much more than you did, and I've never got a ban. I don't even use breaks. But I check it and watch movies while auto, and I don't use SMART when I can, so that I can easily type and auto at the same time (not that SMART isn't good or anything :p I love it. But when autoing a lot, I tend to just use the browser and talk to people while I auto).

Sorry, but it's entirely your fault, imo.

From reading all these posts you keep saying you want to help the weaker scripts. If thats what you want to do then I suggest that you post your proggies and flaws on the scripts thread. If you want to do more then that, then learn to script and get your hands dirty and actually write scripts and help others make theirs better.

@mysterious, thank you for letting us know which scripts could have possibly banned you, but i think you should list the scripts you used within a month on the banned acc(cuz banning proccess might really take a month to go through and be confirmed by jagex), and stop autoing for a few days after ban because jagex might flag your ip address.

@ flamers this thread IS helpfull because we now which scripts may be detectable by jagex. i do not think autoing 15 hours, or 100 hours makes a difference in most cases. only when mods go bot hunting, and if you are in a low populated world they probably wont visit you. so no worries there.(i think)

We all know (or should know atleast) that autoing can get you banned, i dont think we need this sort of "progress reports" that blame the scripts, no, you did not blame them directly, you just said you were using THOSE scripts, and THEN you got banned. I do not dislike you, i dislike the thread, if you find this post offensive, im sorry, but this is the truth i believe in.

Guys, just drop it. Lets wait till a mod/admin locks this thread.
I had other intentions, I guess people understood me wrongly.

Forget this ever existed and lets all just be friends.

You see though, correcting people when they disrespect someone who has volunteered their time for the good of the community; that is allowed.

I read your first post. You very clearly blamed the five scripts that you used for your ban. There is no other way to interpret what you have written. It was 100% the blame game. Then once you realized it was your fault, you defended yourself (yet again) by saying that if the script was perfect, or approaching perfection (yes I understand calculus) then you would not have been banned. To me, this meant that you had obviously not ever tried to script in your entire life. If you have ever spent hours trying to perfect a script, to make it work 24/7 without a ban, you will realize how incredibly difficult that is. Especially since we use SCAR/Simba. The programs are far from perfect, the developers know that, we all know that. If it were perfect, it wouldn't be developed anymore.

Simply said, your ignorance and disrespect throughout the entire thread (I have read every single post) has lead me to two conclusions:

The major conclusion being that you have never scripted, or have never made a hard script requiring weeks of work.
Stemming from this conclusion, I know that you do not respect the effort of the people who do produce scripts, and actually maintain them. I have done it before, after releasing the script there are always weeks more work fixing unresolved bugs, trying to find the wrong code in 1000 lines of work isn't easy. Learn some respect for those who deserve it, or get out.

See, even you didn't understand my intentions.
If you want to blame my wording and the fact my English isn't great, go ahead. I don't type perfectly and you might find in some threads that I don't use good wording.
This isn't my native language.

I never thought I ever had to even say this… Well, if you ask my close friends you would know that I'm not a guy who blames things. Nothing comes out from blaming unless you do something about it.

You really think I care about that account?

Once again, please stop posting. Lets just wait till this thread gets closed.
Else I'd have to delete it myself…
