SRL Archive - RS has been updated.

Runescape got updated today, and being me I was in the dungeon at the time. No one actually knows what the update was for but I came back, re-entered the dungeon, and did the normal stuff I do to make a little cash. Except this time, while crafting chaos runes, I was getting 1700 xp per essence, and my level was growing exponentially.
Yesterday, I was level 36 runecrafting, now I'm 67 :)
The bug lasted about 3 minutes before Jagex finally realised what they'd done, and the xp shrank by about… 1800%.

So, am I the only one to take advantage of that huge bug?

EDIT: It would seem that anyone that did take advantage of it, but didn't leave before Jagex shut down the whole system (without even a warning, it just froze) hasn't kept their levels, whilst anyone that logged out just before said event has kept it.

Rollbacks are rare in runescape and its cool we have one now.

The news update says it should roll back by no more than 30 minutes, but it's rolled me back by about a day and a half - enough time for me to have gotten a crafting level up, rc level up, dungeoning level up and a magic level up.
I probably lost my bound death runes that took me forever to find as well…

Don't worry they said they temporiaty rollbacked hiscore for more but you will only be rollbacked 30 minutes :P

Well, I've got my skills back, but I lost my Earth Staff in dungeoneering which I'm not happy about >:|

No way! This is the first rollback I've heard about… when were there other ones?

When some of the busiest PK worlds crashed one day, they rolled back a few hours.

I was getting 9 xp per 10 essence for law runes yesterday, now only 2.

really thats interesting…i wasn't paying attention today…(yes it has been a while since i was here, dungeoneering makes me want to do some basic utility scripts)

I bet reflection/bcel could be used to identify boss rooms BEFORE unlocking them, or be of a greater help.

Why do you need to identify boss rooms before unlocking? You need to click it a second time to walk through it anyway.

I meant if your at the beginning and don't yet have a key to the room next to you. You don't know if that room is the boss, but reflection/bcel could be used to maybe see if it is, so if when you find the key later, no need to keep going on, you can just back to the beginning to open the door…
