OK, so i'm looking to get back into scripting, but i have noticed that some SRL stuff is already converted to Simba, so do i continue scripting in SCAR? or move over to Simba?

Thanks.

Sorry to say Timer, Simba is developed by dev's and admins, if they wish for the norm to be Simba, then it will be, SCAR will be pushed to a dark corner somewhere, or maybe out of the board completely. Although SCAR is a part of our past, its time to move on to something greater, hopefully Simba can be that thing.

Speaking of which, Nava2, and doc's or anything on Simba?

I'd start working with Simba. I guess it's more of a personal opinion at this point in simba and scar development.

Do what you want.

Holy crap its bebe. Well, really, it would be how long until simba is above a very first stage public beta that i think would be the deciding factor. Anyone have any rough dates or anything for that?

Offtopic: Bebe, are you just never on msn anymore? or did you change it?

I'm just never on MSN anymore :p I'm on IRC a lot though so you can reach me through pm on forums or via irc.

You're so cool bro. ;)

Jagex_Fagex, Simba should be suit your needs mostly. I'll add the last testers, and then we will not add more testers until an initial (testing) release for srl members.

SCAR for every day things, simba for like practicing/learning cause when all the bugs are gone/it is finished, it will replace SCAR.
This is what i do.

SCAR will not be pushed into some corner, nor will it ever… Perhaps Simba will fail (probably, I will lmao when it does).
Perhaps SRL should die! (If SRL is converted to python, I hope it does die.)

@Wizzup?: Stop with the python bull shit.

I'd better respond before you get a 10-page reply from Wizzup..

I really hate the people who enforce Simba into SRL, it should win territory on its own..

Yet I disagree with you; Simba isn't here just to 'Replace' SCAR.. It's here to educate people and move on with colour-driven macroing. Sure everyone is eager to try something new, or learn something about the internals of a colour-clicking bot? I see now harm in learning Python, unless you are just a silly old fool who is done learning 'for his days'. Really, I've never used Pyhon and it might take a time before I will.. However it seems like a great extension for those who want to enlarge his programming knowledge.

Sounds pretty rude does it not? or maybe im just the mature one…

I would start back in scar but switch to simba once you get the rust off…just my personal opinion :)

Timer.. Why so negative & against Simba? I just don't see any reason to…
You should appreciate community work. It will be just great, it's actually doing really good already.

Once the biggest bugs have been put down and the most important things added in, the source code is gonna be in public, and even YOU can give a helping hand to the project, so what is the problem here?
Community (Open Source) > X number of developers (Closed Source).

I do hope Simba has a nice effect for putting Freddy to work a little harder on SCAR, though (much more updates/fixes/additions would be welcome, and maybe a little more often)!
Well, probably as soon as he just has some more free time to spend on it. :)

Support from me @ both programs! ;)

P.S. Timer, I think the chance for Simba fail is really, REALLY low.

Just my 2 cents here!

@Jagex_Fagex: Listen to CanadaMan. Just start working with SCAR for now, and then convert over to Simba when it is released. I'm thinking it should be a fairly straightforward and smooth transition anyways.
