Just got this game about two weeks ago and finished it about a week ago, starting again. Pretty awesome!
I love the game-play and storyline it contains. Only thing is, I've never played Mass Effect 1 :(

I used to go to my friend's and just watch him play because it was literally like watching a movie, the storyline is great. Also
I've heard Mass Effect 1 isn't that tight, but I've never played either myself so I wouldn't know.

Likewise, I play it every day too! xD My goal is to have two characters, one where you keep the Prothean base at the end for Cerberus to study and one to destroy it, so I can continue in two perspectives in Mass Effect 3 (after all, the series is a trilogy and there are constant references in ME2 for ME3 :p) and to level both players to 50 as-well as making all possibly upgrades :p

Quite good, still in the middle.
Question though, do Shepherd and Miranda ever get it on? Cause I just went through a really weird dialog lol. I think they are gonna do it.
My dad got this game for free somehow (legit, no pirating). Chris, yes they do.
He had ME1 as well and he brought all his save files from ME1 and imported them into ME2. Pretty nifty system if you ask me :p.

I thought the first one was great. It had its flaws, but it was a completely original game. Then the second one came out and they changed a lot of stuff and I felt it was a great sequel. Here's some run downs of changes:
First game had infinite ammo, but guns overheated. Sniper would overheat if you took two shots within 5 seconds. The better you got with guns the less they would overheat, more damage, etc.
Level up trees were bloated with stuff. Intimidate skill, charm skill, assault rifle, combat training, more than twice that.
You'd buy new guns and armor. Debatable upgrade in the new system, there's less choice but then again you don't have to grind up money and buy new stuff. There was no armor customization either.
No probing thing for minerals, no upgrade station also. But there was a more annoying vehicle mode on the planets you had to deal with.
I'd say you can stick with ME2, but if you have the time, play through ME1 and then you can import the save file. There's two or three big choices you make in ME1 that reflect in ME2 if you import your character.

I'm not sure, as I haven't started any relationships (although I heard you can, I just can't figure out how =\). But no, I doubt it. But I chose Jack over Miranda when they both had their fights :P
Also, how long have you been playing? Because I finished the main storyline in like 16 hours :p

And you just keep going down to her office and asking if she has time to talk and they you keep hitting on her >.>

Yeah I chose Miranda on my second character :p And I know :p Good thing though, on my second character, I had such a high paragon that I could stop the fight and keep loyalty with both Jack and Miranda xD (but you can still only choose one I believe, haven't pursued Jack yet :P).

Lol. Also, If you choose Miranda to lead the biotic bubble at the end of the game and not choose her or your team for the other two missions, she will survive. ;)
