For all of you who are interested in Dr Who, and live in the UK:

What do you think about the new Doctor? Is he capable enough, acting-wise and reputation-wise. Do you think he has enough gumption to fill the shoes of his post; which has been filled with many great actors - David Tennant, for example.

Secondly, what are your views on this first episode? This is, with no doubt, a decisive début.
In my opinion, I think he did a good job with all the pressure he had on him to sur-pass previous performances. I found this episode contained a good plot and theme; but, it also had quite a bit of comedy value.
It took me only 3(and a bit) minutes to settle in and enjoy the whole show, personally, my favourite'est' part was the fish fingers and custard. Yum.

Finalement, what are your guys view's on the upcoming episodes. It seems they're still flogging the Darlek theme, and carrying on with the Cybermen. However, a few new ones look good, such as the WWII - it seems like The Doctor is now a more diverse time traveller (travelling into the past more than the future, unlike previously).

So, what do you guys think about all of that?
Is Matt Smith destined for glory, is he a diamond in need of a polish, or is he doomed for disaster :norris:?

Lol, true. I guess they were put in comas to compliment the story line :p

The alien had 12 years to make sure there were plenty of people in comas. Also the hospital was a drive away from the village.

Oh man, I think he can totally do it. Tennant was fantastic, but he would have gotten old eventually. He made the right move in quitting and I think this fellow can pull off a new sort of doctor (and if you look closely, you can see a little Tennant in his style).

Also Moffat took over lead writer (he's responsible for the angel stature one, the one in the first season with the gas masks, and all the other awesome creepy ones) so I'm really looking forward to his new work.

Same, more angels appearing soon :p. TBH, I found that Steven Moffat made the most memorable and satisfactory plots.
Although I wouldn't mind seeing a few more written from Russell T. Davis.

I just watched it(srsly) it was good… i kinda felt it was more childish which from what i have read is what BBC or w/e are going for (younger actors etc.). I think he did a good job, first few minutes where a bit wierd and the new theme song is…. eh….

All up i think it was Good…Not great…Looking forward to newer episodes.

Okay, so the series is nearing it's finale! How do you guys think the series has gone so far?
Favourite episode of mine had to be the Dream Lord episode, proper good stuff, most of it was good I found. Maybe owing to the new personality of Matt Smith or the writing expertise of Moffat.

The Van Gough episode wasn't bad either
