Simba has had 'FindColorsToleranceOptimised' and 'FindColorToleranceOptimised' for a long time. This function has a different implementation of the HSL (CTS 2) color speed algorithm.. Which should be a lot faster than FindColorsTolerance.. However this function has never been tested thoroughly.. So we cannot place FindColorsTolerance with it.. So if some of you might want to run some tests and see if the results differ marginally, please report.

E1: tested it with range (cooking spot) finding and it worked wonderfully. I'll test more colors etc, do you want a speed comparison or a length comparison (when using colors instead of color)?

I think he wants comparison with FindColorTolerance instead of different colors.

Since it is meant to be replaced by this function as I understand it.

well I exchanged it with the FindColorsTolerance function that was there before, I thought he was looking for a change in finding ability, which was none.

hehe, I probably did misunderstand him though, I'll do some comparing after church today :)

The main testing that needs to be done is to find out if the function produces reliable results. So FindColorsTolerance should find the same as FindColorsToleranceOptimised.

The results used to different marginally, I'm not sure now though.

So, assuming scripts don't use exact checks, I don't see why it would be different.

It wouldn't be hard to switch it either.

How much faster is it? Because it would own for fighting scripts if its faster.
