SRL Archive - Outdated Tutorials

Issues you will face if your RuneScape is not set up properly:

Opens up and loads, but does nothing else
1. Mouse moving around frantically on the screen
2. S.M.A.R.T. screen is flickering

How to set up RuneScape for autoing:

Open RuneScape in your default web browser, for example, firefox
1. Click the options icon at the bottom right corner of the screen
This will open the graphics menu
2. Click the 'Safe Mode' button

3. Click the 'Fixed Graphics' button

4. Set all the settings to their lowest setting as shown below:

5. To reduce lag in the login procedures, turn off the animated background

Still not working? Try:

Check to see if your S.M.A.R.T. window is not disabled
1. Check to see if your SRL is up to date
2. Check to see if the script you are using is not outdated

An easily understandable and nice looking tutorial :)
The pictures will sure make things easier for the newcomers. Just make sure you update this when RuneScape does! :)

You don't have too login, you can just click the settings button in the bottom right of RS.

I remembered that some of the scripts (like ultimate fletcher by footballjds) did this for you automatic when you had the wrong graphic options.

Yea, there's a function to set all the graphics, but it doesn't work very well, and it doesn't work without safe mode and fixed graphics.

Well you could always make the function with blind clicking :p

This and try updating your SRL, the new lobby messed up Login.scar and a lot of code was re-written.

This is quite usefull and complements Coh3n's updated guide :D

Ok after following this guide (good guide, btw), I was able to get SIMBA working with a regular browser window. However, it still has trouble (does nothing) when I activate SMART.

Did you do the set the same graphics settings in the SMART window? Also make sure it's Enabled.

ah its working now. I'm not sure what you mean by "set same graphics settings in SMART window" as it seems I cannot click anywhere in the SMART window in the Java applet, only the toggle buttons…

… but in any case it seems to be working now; just had to restart SIMBA a couple times. It seems that it takes SMART a little bit to detect changes in graphics settings after you change them in the browser? i dunno. but it works now, thanks.

The graphics settings when using SMART do not carry over from the settings that you set using your browser, so if you haven't already, disable SMART when it is open, and then set the settings to what they should be for autoing.

EDIT: Didn't that there's a second page. I'll leave my post here though for future reference for other people who have his problem.
