Which is at the moment a Scar Icon, should us change it to Simba Icon ?

I would once Simba is released publicly/to the forums.

What does Freddy have to say about this? Not saying I'm against it, I'm just geniunely curious.

Probably not an animated one, but yeah, it will be changed on release.

Well I mean he's been the sole developer of SCAR and then SRL (doing the smart thing) comes and makes essentially an open source version of his project and then uses that icon for their project?

That was my line of thinking, but to be honest I haven't kept up with Simba shtuff because I'm not testing or anything, so anyone feel free to correct me if I'm making any wrong assumptions.

Freddy had barely anything to do with making SRL, he just made SCAR which is being replaced. Frankly, even if he would have anything to say, he wouldn't be heard :)

Freddy did not make SCAR :) He just improved it.

Note that he is only sole developer because he wants to be the sole developer.

I like it as a tractor :(. It's gonna look weird when we change it, but if we switch mainly to Simba, I guess we should.

I like the tractor too, but I guess it won't fit for much longer, just seems like this is turning into looking like a Disney forums with all the lion king around here…

If we turn into Disney, we'd have to become much more racist.

Yea I agree. Simba would look much better. Same goes for SRL banner on top. If someone new came here, they would probably say

What is this? Some kind of construction site?

Maybe you should read his post again aloud to yourself. He doesn't say anything about SMART or Freddy being the soul developer of SRL. Freddy has helped with some of the development of SRL, at least in the past.

I nearly laughed when someone said "what does Freddy have to say about it" why would he care at all? It's not like the green bulldozer is even SCAR's. It's rather amusing how many threads there are like this one.

I didn't realize Home meant the URL icon! I read Home's Finglish sentence as suggesting we change Simba's icon to the icon in the URL bar. Which of course makes no sense at all, because if he thought that Simba should have the bulldozer, he would never have made any reference to the URL.

Sorry for any unnecessary confusion!

I totally agree with you, the icon somehow doesnt fit the program. Even when SCAR is named like it is, it doesnt have scar's face as its icon. Something like tools and a kit would be cool as icon. As we are just a tool, and thats for srl, i dont really have an idea of an icon to simba atm.

SRL sounds like cereal.
Lets use a bowl of cereal for the icon.
