I am not an amazing scripter but want to learn, so I'm wondering if anyone would want to help me to create a mining and banking script, that supports the Mining Guild. Ill add other mines after the guild.

Also, RastaMagician has a GuildMiner currently in an Alpha stage, but he is an amazing scripter so I'm sure it would be beneficial to look at his code for that.

On a side note, a guild miner tends to be a rather difficult script to complete and maintain. Just a heads up, but certainly no reason you can't do it :)

Online… my point lol. I don't have internet so i get on my neighbors weak connection whenever possible. So it is easier to use my cell for now. Recently I have been lucky and have been able to stay connected pretty well though :tongue:

LOL, I have done this, and his script is extremely advanced, so it is hard for me to follow. I need a better understanding of srl/scar first. lol

At the mine I thought it would be fairly easy… and that's probably why I haven't released any scripts :P.

The things i looked for in determining how difficult the script would be were:

• Distance to walk
• Number of turns in walking path

That is my complicated analysis on why this script should be easy. LOL, i am missing something, Probably lack of experience. What do you think is going to be the hard part of writing this script?

Well i think you are going to face several problems with the walking. Other then that it should be fairly easy.

I've never attempted one my self, but many experienced scripters have, and all of them seem to run into quite a few problems.

Here are a few errors you can run into:

• Walking too far away, or not far enough from the ladders and getting lost.
• Not finding the ladders
• Getting lost on the walk to bank
• Getting lost on the walk to mine
• Not finding the ladders on the way down
• A lot of the colors in the mine are pretty similar to the color of coal (I made a simple one and it was mousing over the walls a lot)
• And generally a lot of people mine down there. :p

It's not the simplest thing to do. I'd suggest something easier. ;)

reflection should be a backup and color primary. but yes, reflection is helpful

Check out Zeph's tutorial on Walking, its awesome. Its how I learned back in the day.

I suggest starting out with color on a little easier script with fresh idea. Something on the spot that doesn't involve walking.
