Timestamping

Could there be an option under Simba's setting menu to set Timestamping 'On' or 'Off' (checkbox or True/False value, you choose)

Optional: Maybe give an option to denote what time format to use?

Scanning for randoms...
Doing productive stuff...
** User switches on timestamping (hh:mm:ss)
[88:88:88] Still doing stuff

Reason: It would be nice to know how long the script has been doing something. Also, to know what time the randoms appear for collecting data.
I've had a script buzz out on me by clicking in the same spot for I don't know how long so, that could give timestamping an importance.

MarkTime(Time: Integer);
TimeFromMark(Time: Integer);

I think simba supports these

Now where would I place that? I'm not talking about script level.

hmm well:
Begin
MarkTime(TheTime); //this must be declared as an integer
Repeat
//stuff
Until(TimeFromMark(TheTime) > 60000); //it will break after 60 seconds
End;

That is at script level which I will say again. I am talking about Simba-level, lower than script.

He means it would be built into Writeln and things like exception, so that if you had the option ticked it would always display when each line was written out.

simba is actually higher level, but you can do this outside of the MML.

Writeln could be modified, but it doesn't seem that critical.

Sounds like a good suggestion… File a bug report and one of us will see what we can do… :)

Here's addition to those ideas is to make it available for the script to turn time-stamping off because some people have graphic reports as so:
[=================================================================]
[ Coh3n's Anywhere PowerChopper! ]
[============================= V.2.9 =============================]
[ ]
[ You have chosen to cut Teak trees. ]
[ ]
[ Ran For: 0 Hours, 0 Minutes and 0 Seconds ]
[ Loads Done: 39 ]
[ Logs Chopped: too many ]
[ Levels Gained: over 9000!!! ]
[ Exp Gained: xxx ]
[ Breaks: none ]
[ ]
[=================================================================]

So, time-stamping could look bad with that or maybe not.
