Give me something to try..

I'm going to make my first script sometime within two months, but I need some ideas (limited creativity here..).
Nothing too hard, please. I guarantee nothing in terms of awesomeness, but I'm going to do my best.

Kind regards,
Steve.

*Edit

Going to work on an Alcher. Mod/admin go ahead close/lock thread.

Perhaps start with an Alcher or something small that you may be in need of yourself. Then, as you catch on to more thing's, the "hard" task's will come to you quite easily :)

An alcher? I guess. That's just more or less DTMs, running off of SRL bank functions, a good, creative way to do the loop, much antiban, probably creative autotalking, many const's for customizable features, aaaaand…..I dunno what else much.

That makes sense though, I guess I'll try my hand at that.

It doesn't have to be anything specific or be done in any specific way. That's one of the best parts about writing scripts is that everyone goes about it differently. For instance, I have made a couple different personal alchers, not one of them used a DTM at any point lol.
It doesn't really matter what your making, as long as your fooling with the code you will continue to learn. Just don't get discouraged if somethign doesn't work. Just try to go about it with a different method and see what happens.

Best of luck to you. Feel free to MSN me if you need to.

Maybe you're right, considering that it'd be better to use coordinate-clicking (mouseboxes) for it. That, and auto-coloring. I'd use DTM's fot a personal script though, because I have those items and I know what they are. Unless there's a proc/function for auto-making of DTM's.

I wasn't trying to discourage you from using them at all, simply pointing out that different people do things differently. I'm more of a TPA person my self, but plenty of successful scripters use DTM's. Just some "food for thought" is all :)

Well you also have to understand, I have 0 knowledge in scripting. I read much of the beginners tutorials, but those are easy, because I've had coding experience before (consts, vars, formatting, etc). All I've read up on is Colors, Bitmaps, and DTMs. In my scenario, it's not that I CHOSE not to do something, it's that I probably didn't know it existed, xD.

Nothing wrong with that, it's all part of the process of learning :)

I suggest a power chopper :)

Always a good start ;)

I started with a draynor willow chopper (like many others). It's a good start you should think about. It has easy walking, relatively easy object finding, etc. Should be a challenge but not too hard at the same time :)
