SRL Archive - Suggestions

We need to automatically 'generate' the fonts folder. The font files could possibly be uploaded at a FTP-server, or something alike? We need some way to keep track of the outdated pictures though.. You don't want to redownload all images when just 1 has got updated..

Why not use the svn downloader code mixter wrote, mod it to be used in Lazarus (unless there is another library already written) then use that?

Could also get them from the git repos for SRL 5.

If we add some sort of zip / tar library I can easily generate Font ``snapshots''.

Glad to see you can splel my name and I should be able to easily adapt it to the Simba repo for fonts if people want it to be so.

Because that is much easier to transfer, and it makes the fonts a lot smaller for the transaction as well. (Grr, why don't we use PNGs for the fonts}

Because using PNG for really small 2-bit bitmaps is pointless? The header is probably bigger than the font itself?

I wanted to put them all together in one big bitmap… I guess that's not easy to maintain.

You don't want to redownload *all* fonts every time something has updated… That's really silly
