Simba needs YOUR help.

There's a lot of stuff left to do for the project.
Seeing we just hit the 100th Simba Tester I'd like to take this opportunity to point you guys (and girls) at a few things we as a community need to tackle.

If we want Simba to be a success, we must pay attention to the following points. I've mainly listed points that the Simba developers simply can't do alone. We need YOUR help to make Simba what we all want it to be!

Wiki pages

The main Simba wiki page is here:
http://villavu.com/wiki/index.php/Simba

If you think you can write something useful about Simba on the wiki, please do. It doesn't matter if your english isn't well formed, or a lot of information is missing, but it's a start.
On the main Simba page you'll find a small list of pages that I think would be suitable for the wiki.

Documentation

When comparing the Simba Function Documentation against the functions in the Simba function list, one will see a lot of functions are ill documented or even missing! Others may need additional examples or are simple outdated.

If you find such a function, please write a little description about it (if possible), and then please ask us to add it.
Another valuable resource is examples in the documentation, it lacks a lot of examples.

I don't think this should be too hard considering a lot of functions are like SCARs.

(Testing) Scripts!

Making your script work with Simba and/or testing it is appreciated as well!
Before we make a first public release, it would be wise to already have some working scripts. So far I've seen a banking script by Coh3n (Good job!) and an Alcher by Cazax.

We've been getting less bug reports, so I assume at least those scripts are running fine?

I'll try to help as much as I can, but I don't have the time I used to have when we initially started SRL.

If you're unsure about something, you can always PM, mail, post or file a bug report. Any comments are very much welcomed!

Are there any long term tests on Simba for memory leaks or anything like that? As I've noticed a lot of people only being able to run SCAR for an hour or two. Which seems odd, but whatever.

Just wondering.

From what I've tested, yes mine is running fine. I'm going to do another run tonight to see how it goes. :)

Also, I don't know if you want to know or not, but there was nothing in the core of the script that needed to be changed when running with Simba. Raymond made a patch for my form, which I applied, but nothing other than that needed to be changed.

There are some small memory leaks I can imagine, but those are related to the user interface, and not the script run time. (Read: restarting a script 1000 times will probably show some memory leaks, but running a script for hours won't.)

@Coh3n, great, thanks!

I'm currently making a script in Simba, I'll try to post some stuff that comes along the way.

Id like to say that it is very easy to convert a scar script to simba. it took me about 5 minutes max to convert my smelter to simba. As of now i have had no real bugs except for what ive posted. Great Job Devs! I would like to be more active but school is making sure i cant :(
