Wizzup?

As far as I know, Freddy used to host it. But it's outdated and his site seems down. (Or was, at least)

So… I can quickly whip up a parser. Question is, what format?
HTML with search function?
PDF?
XML?

E: Nearly done.

html with a fancy javascript search bar :].

fancy javascript search bar?

well, that would cause a lot of issues, ie. what if JavaScript is disabled? then the search functionality would be extinct. or maybe you're just referring to some ajax autocomplete stuff (intellisense as such)

any ways, I don't know if it'd help you Wizzup? but I'm just working on making this in Rails

all it does is that you login (so that not just anyone can tamper with it) and then you can CRUD procedure/functions, it then asynchronously displays the XML for them (a simple stylesheet to define whether they're inline/block/inline-block etc)

~ Craig` :)

well, nowadays, most people dont deactivate javascript.

Didn't plan on making it that big. I first want some static data - html and pdf. Once that's done, I guess I can set up a DB and whatnot. I've never coded one word of JS or Ajax, so that would cost me quite some time.

Really? More people I know disable js nowadays than in the past.

Of course, making a js search bar is incredibly easy, and it wouldn't be hard to display a message saying "if the search isn't working, please enable javascript."

Or just use a static search. :)

Hmm, I'm surprised nobody's suggested LaTeX yet. It's specifically made for documentation, and it would be perfect for this. That, and there are many exporters out there (yes, including both PDF and HTML) so why not just do LaTeX?

I was going to use \LaTeX. I just asked how they wanted the end product. :)

Probably some bugs in there… (please post if you find them. Missing functions, wrong declaration, etc)
I'll see if I can put some more time in the script later. :)

E:
  • Missing commas
  • Return types not always specified for functions?

Too many semi-colons sometimes, two at the end of some function(all I have seen so far), however it's really nothing
Yeah, commas are missing.
To confirm your second point: http://vila.villavu.com/srldoc/node53.html should be boolean, no?

Yes. Probably an easy fix, will look at it soon.

Yea some blank pages and page number seems to be scattered here and there :p But where there are functions/procedures, it looks awesome :D

I'm sorry but the pdf file sucks (on my linux). Around 40% of all the pages are either completely white or has 1-6 characters on it

I set it to the "book" format. So you can distinguish left and right pages. It also explains the blank pages. (End of Chapter)

Your PDF reader probably malfunctions then. Because the formatting is quite what I intended to do.

The documentation is updated daily, at 0:00 AM.
Uhm, there's also a PDF. http://wizzup.org/static/srldoc.pdf

The formatting isn't too good yet, but at least it's a start. Another silly thing is that you can't really link to a specific article (over a long time), since the node numbers tend to change if you add more doc.
(Source: http://vila.villavu.com/cgi-bin/gitweb/gitweb.cgi?p=srldocgen.git;a=summary It's kinda hackish)
