So, maybe someone can answer this riddle…I had about 25k law runes in ge for max…overnight the price increased, but my runes did not sell…Logic would have me believing, that all the runes at max would sell before price increased, but this obviously isn't the case….

Maybe many other people had it for max as well, and remember the 4 hour limit.
But price raise doesn't necessarily mean max price, as long as its above mid it'll influence the price, try putting your runes up for just a little gp below max (I usually round down to the 5gp).

This is pretty common.
Usually it means that is the day the item had it's rebound from rising to falling.
For example the item might have been selling max in the morning, mid at mid day, and lowest towards the very end of the day.
This will still show a rise in ge the next day, but you probably won't be able to sell them for max at the end of the day.

Meh beat me to it. He's right, look at all merchanting clan items. For the most part, they're always going up 5% a day, and the day before falling they go up only a couple percent, then tank.
