I only set 40 scars to run with writeln and output time running in ms every second.
Result:
I'll try with smarts if i remember when i have time. Should take alot more memory. I expect to be able to run 4-5 smarts.

These numbers were lower than I expected. My own pc can only run 6 but was hoping to run more. Would upgrading the ram make the most significant difference or would I need to upgrade CPU aswell?

I used to be able to run 4, and still actively use my computer.
I have since upgraded (everything), so I'm sure I can do more than that.

8 smarts run pretty well with a quad core q6600 and 4 gb ram.

Yeah, same with Q8300 if I got more ram (4gb atm) think I could run more. Awhile ago I ran 4 with WoW heh. You lose script speed if you push to many.

There should be 100 Simbas, all writeln'ing there time running every 100ms'. was a little laggy towards the end.

Frem, you should be able to run at least 8 with that computer.
I used to run 4 SMARTS on my laptop; core 2 duo at 2.? ghz w/ 2gb ram, all ran smoothly with tara's wonderful script, LAME.
A large amount of the lag problem can be attributed to inefficient scripting. If a script is well optimized and doesn't use a bunch of processor intensive functions, you will be able to run more SMARTS.
