I want to to help too. Only reason why I wasn't suggesting items because I don't know runescape/merchanting. And I think srl merchanting is suffering in lack of leader/mod as Rogeruk seems inactive. It would help to have someone to say dump time and then everyone would do that. Announce things and such. Anyone? :p

Yeah we need someone who knows this stuff.. I haven't really been into these things before so I don't really know what to look for

JAD and Almost I believe know what they are doing, and I know merchanting pretty decently, I been doing it for a while. We should just start a thread for who wants to be leaders then have people decide who becomes leaders or take a poll or something or if there aren't many just let whoever wants to be a leader become one.

Well JAD is like the richest runescape guy ever. I would think some of that is from merchanting

Limps are a good one, but you have to take into consideration it's uses…no uses in F2p, used in low level str pots in P2P (not sure of others)…so, going by the Theory of Supply and Demand…if we buy all of them up…the prices should rise…however, seeing they are only used in low level herby training, even if we cornered the market, people won't pay high prices, because the potion made by them doesn't sell for much…

The owner of "cash cream"..I think ? is on here…seems like he might want to step up and take advantage of the people wanting to invest…. I have a few Billion I'd invest if I thought it would be successful….

BTW, as I mentioned..you can never go wrong with Blood and Death runes ;)

I did have 25m but lost it.
But I also would like to get this back up.
I am quite good with investments, so I wouldn't mind helping with choosing some items.
I haven't played RS in a while though, so I will take a few hours now to revise the market :)

I don't think we have enough money to merch it that high. We should just try to get it up a reasonable amount so it doesn't crash on us, in my opinion we should dump at like 2.7k, only way we could get it up to 3.5k is if once we bought all of our limp roots, we then advertised a clan for people outside of srl to buy limps and we dump on them, and last time you guys didn't wanna do that, so we should just dump at about 2.7-3k

What item that you merchant will people pay high prices for once you manipulate it to a ridiculous price?

To be honest, you guys live in a fairy world where you believe that you can manipulate an item high. Because nobody dumps early, we can all sell off at the peak and everybody wins.

Doesn't work like that. When an item is manipulated, a few people can win big, and a lot of people have to lose big. That's just how it goes.

Dump off onto a clan (pretty much screwing people) or sell the junk off on sythe for $0.30 each mil. That's about all you can do (I do the latter, because then I can sell the mills for more)

In case you haven't noticed..I have kept my "Buisness" dealings seperate from this forum for a reason…I don't think anyone here had the mindset of Real World training as an end result of this….Anyways I didn't..I'll admit my ignorance, as as a few others have, as to the fundamentals of Clan Merchanting….I just thought this would be a fun way to help contribute to an SRL merch experiment…

I'm in the process of buying as many as I can across a few accounts..200m invested so far…I'm confident that we can make the price rise enough to make a difference…as far as dumping..on this item i'm not concerned, as people will still have Kwaurm herbs and will still want to train their herblore levels..people will still want Pots to train their combat with..if anything…I predict the prices of Super Str pots will go up…same as they did the last time limps were merched…

limps are used in super strength too. FYI, limps are in a lot of supply, and can be bought below mid in GE right now. (atleast 2.5k. sold right away to me when i got to 66 herb)

There's no such thing as positive and negative advice. There's right and wrong advice.

Either way, it's the truth. How many limpwurts would we need to buy to buyout the market? At least 500k of them at first, and then have offers in at max every day while they're going up. If we could even buy the probably 1M+ limpwurts it will take to manipulate the market, how are 1 million limpwurts going to sell once our artificial demand ceases, and true supply vs demand takes over again? They will obviously tank in price at that point.

it depends on how bad they are dropping. when most people see an item dropping, they want to hurry and get rid of it before they lose to much of their money, thus dropping it even more :)

People stock up on herblore things becouse its expencive so they want to save money(and all the new overload potions etc..) You were lucky with this one :D

im buying too.. make sure when we dump, dump at max price.
this way not one of us lose out. it takes a little longer to sell the items but its worth it.

That 28M won't keep anything going, because we played an extremely minor role in the manipulation in the first place. I wouldn't put any more money into this, as it's probably going to crash for a few days before going up again.

I have no more money to invest, and I have an offer from someone that wants to do some serious training …I may reinvest, condisering those limps won't see the street again….it's up to everyone else to sell or wait and see what the price does…
