There is no "wrongless", simply you insist on ignoring the advice we've given you completely or make up bullshit reasons and continue to act like a rich asshole. You could save nearly half of your money by buying server components, and you would have a more extensible system than you would get with your parts now. Not saying you should be forced to do what you don't want… but I hate stupid people. At least admit you're stupid, please.

Assuming you're not being sarcastic (which you probably are), you get infractions for breaking the rules. You don't want them, because if you get enough, you get banned.

When you made the first post about get server equipment, I created a reply stating "I don't really know anything about server components, if you could run me through it a bit I could do a bit of research and have a look." You never replied so I edited the post back to asking "I just want to know what psu will run this system."

You may be the server genius, I've only ever built 3 PC's, never used or had any experience with server stuff. So I just wanted to build a good desktop PC, is it that much of a problem? The thread was created to ask one question alone, "What Power Supply would run the system I was going to build." Then it turned into, "omg get this, no get that, why would you do that for, you fail, blah blah."

I'm not saying that the plans you have wouldn't be a better pc for half the price, I wouldn't know, I'm not familiar with it so I wasn't going to do that.

If i were to draw you up as a cartoon, I'd have to be on LSD. Seriously.

Let's put it simply.
1. By infracting you are utilizing powers that were granted to you by the staff.

2. The staff at SRL represents those who make, discuss and enforce "the law".

3. By breaking the law while enforcing it (if you do not know what I mean, I mean the infraction text you sent), you put yourself in a hypocritical situation.

4. By breaking "the law" you are less fit to enforce it. Same way you don't trust a cop you can bribe.

5. If something is not on the infraction list and you think it should be, suggest it. No one single person makes the rules here, therefore you are also, equally, "unallowed" to make up your own infractions and distribute them at will.

6. Stupidity, in case you are wondering, is not a punable act. It is not an act at all. (And with this I must say that I am not accusing anyone of being stupid, rather just pointing something out to you).

7. Maybe, in terms of who is making decisions, your two page long list of infractions might give you a clue as to how many good decisions you have made. Each post is a decision to post your opinion. The infractions are for how you voice that opinion.

If you wish to post what you reported, (your judgement of the situation), I would be more than happy to discuss it. Do take the care to quote it exactly, changing words does not fit you well :)

Then R0b0t1 posts twice telling me to get server equipment to build it and that I fail for not doing what he suggested.

I then proceeded to ask, what do you suggest to R0b0t1, and to help me out a little, and got no reply.

So I didn't worry about it, edited the post, and continued to post asking about the power supply.

Then I get an Infraction from R0b0t1 for nothing, or because I didn't do what he wanted.

Wow, relax. I didn't know shit about computers a few days back. I listened to Toot and TViYH to help me on my upcoming build. I didn't even care if they said I fail or you suck. Me and TViYH got in an argument and I ended up listening to him, he helped me with my whole rig(Which is quite nice for the price). I also thought Chinese people were in my computer, didn't know what PSU is and more stuff that made me look like a complete narb. Even though this is my first rig, I didn't care what anybody said about my lack of knowledge. I thought I was the computer king and flamed everybody, then I blamed myself for being a complete asshole and trying to act like I knew computer hardware.
The moral here is, listen to everybody's opinion.

I actually helped i luffs yeww with his computer (Mostly), using the knowledge I obtained from the IRC. Which was quite alot over the past three days.

This would explain why he felt it necessary to infract someone for not following his advice (implying he was wrong) and why he is now whining about the infraction being reversed (again implying he was wrong).

I think we should drop this because he's not going to give up until he feels enough people agree with him (implying that he's right) or until the thread is closed.

Did you bother even reading the original thread? I listened to and considered everybody's ideas, I changed a few parts because other people changed my mind about them.

I might of went with the server components if R0b0t1 had explained himself more thoroughly, which he decided not to do.

Well yeah I did a little bit of research myself, and found it wasn't what I was looking for.

1. The Chassis would be way to big for me to easily move it about.

2. You need to buy special ECC ram, which costs alot more and you need more of it.

3. You need to know server related commands and information like that.

4. No liquid cooling

5. I need to take it to Lan Competitions and easily move it about.

6. I have no experience with it, so I don't want to spend alot of money on something I know nothing about.

Yes, the components are different and might not fit exactly into your design, but for >$2000 I think most people wouldn't mind a change of aesthetics.

3) Server components are fully capable of running a GUI environment.

4) They do not need to be cooled; if you wanted to, you either make a custom harness or buy an existing one.

5) It is not heavy or bulky, it is usually lighter than a normal desktop PC. You do not buy a rack for it, as you only have one.

6) You are doing the same thing now, the only difference is you are spending MORE money on something you don't know about.

And if you must know, I was watching White Collar.

If there is no infraction for something, we (the staff) will decide if "the bitch should be slapped". If there is no appropriate infraction to give, you simply don't give him an infraction.

What are you trying to say? Rasta is an administrator on these forums. That doesn't have to mean that he has a better judgement than you, but it does mean that he has more power than you. He can reverse your actions for a reason.

R0b0t, if you are sure about that infraction, you will have to convince us. We have looked at it, but didn't find anything. If you are sure of your case, back it up with some evidence, because this thread isn't getting us any further.
